According to the relevant person in charge of the Chinese Organizing Committee of the World Skills Competition, the Chinese delegation sent a total of 36 contestants to Switzerland, Germany, France, Finland , South Korea, Japan and Austria to participate in the competition in 34 events. The contestants came from vocational colleges such as technical colleges, with an average age of 22 years old, the oldest was 24 years old, and the youngest was 20 years old, with 8 female contestants. The Swiss competition area was the first to be heard. Chinese player Li Dexin won the first gold medal in China in the furniture production project, and Shao Rupeng won the gold medal in the fine joinery project. Among the participating projects, the CNC milling project is China's advantageous project. The gold medals in the 43rd, 44th and 45th sessions of this event were all won by the Chinese delegation. This year, Zhou Chujie from Guangdong Mechanical Technician College also won the gold medal on behalf of China, achieving four consecutive championships in this event.

In recent years, vocational skills competitions at all levels and types across the country have flourished, playing an important role in the overall promotion of the construction of the skilled talent team. With the improvement of the country's emphasis on China's skill level and skilled talents, more and more contestants are participating in the World Skills Competition. From a delegation of 6 Chinese players in 2011 to sending 63 contestants to all projects in 2019, China's skilled talent reserve has been able to cover almost all areas of the skills industry.
At this moment, Shanghai Agriculture and Forestry Vocational and Technical College Yang Lingzhi, Hangzhou Light Industry Technical College Shen Wenqing and other four Chinese players are preparing to participate in the competition in 4 events in the Finnish competition area; 6 Chinese players including Hou Kunpeng and Tang Gaoyuan from Luohe Technician College are participating in the competition in 5 events in the French competition area. A month later, Chinese players will also appear in the Austrian competition area and participate in the competition in seven projects including electrical installations, industrial control, and masonry.
