After Tras announced his resignation, Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the Conservative Party's "1922 Backbench Committee", delivered a speech outside the House of Commons. He said that he would start a new voting process for the heads of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister, "it is possible to vote and end the leadership election before Friday, October 28."
