The longest-lived founding general couple in my country, her husband lived to be 101 years old, and her wife is still alive!

As the saying goes, “Company is the longest confession.” In the history of our army, there was a couple who were the longest-lived. They supported and encouraged each other on the road of revolution, and remained in love with each other after liberation, which made others envious and jealous. Who is this couple? Please follow the editor’s pace and go find out with me. Please continue reading.

This couple is the couple of founding generals of my country, Xiao Ke and Jian Xianfo. In July 1907, Xiao Ke was born in a poor scholarly family in Jiahe County, Hunan Province, and Jian Xianfo was born in a businessman in Chengguan Town, Cili County, Hunan Province in July 1916.

After graduating from Jiahe Normal University, Xiao Ke entered Whampoa Military Academy . Afterwards, he participated in the Northern Expedition, the Nanchang Uprising, and the Hunan Uprising. In 1934, he and Ren Bishi and Wang Zhen led their troops to the west, and then met with He Longsou in October. After the meeting, He Long, Xiao Ke and his group established the Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and Guizhou base. Later, under Comrade He Long's propaganda, Jian Xianfo also joined our army and began to be responsible for propaganda work. Because Jian Xianfo is young and beautiful, and has excellent work ability, she can always attract the attention of others.

is such an excellent revolutionary female warrior, which also attracted Xiao Ke's attention. With their work contact, the two of them developed a good impression on each other. But even so, the two of them never pierced the window paper.

He Long, who saw all these, couldn't stand it anymore, so he personally came out to thread the needle, bringing this pair of young people with common revolutionary ideals and beliefs together. In June 1935, under the auspices of Ren Bishi and Chen Congying, Xiao Ke and Jian Xianfo held a grand wedding.

Later, due to strategic needs, the main forces of the Red Second and Sixth Legions implemented a strategic shift and began Long March . Before leaving, Jian Xianfo was pregnant for several months. In July 1936, Jian Xianfo gave birth to a child on the grass. Xiao Ke hugged the child and smiled from ear to ear.

Looking at General Xiao Ke's life, he joined the army in 1925 and participated in the Northern Expedition, Nanchang Uprising, Jinggangshan Struggle and Long March. He served as company commander, battalion commander, regiment commander, division commander, army commander, Red Sixth Army regiment commander, and deputy commander-in-chief of the Red Second Front Army . During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he served as deputy commander of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army, commander of the Hebei Advance Marine, and deputy commander of the Jin-Cha-Hebei Military Region. During the Liberation War, he served as commander of the Hebei-Chahar-Religious Liao Military Region and deputy commander of the North China Military Region, and vice president of the North China Military and Political University, and the first chief of staff of the Fourth Field Army.

Just like that, as time goes by, they are older and their children are growing up. After the founding of New China, Xiao Ke was awarded the rank of general, while Jian Xianfo took up a higher position. Although both of them are usually very busy, their relationship has never changed. Unfortunately, General Xiao Ke died of illness in 2008 at the age of 101. Nowadays, 106-year-old wife Jian Xianfo is still alive, wishing her good health in her later years.
