New Party Taipei City Councillor Hou Hanting pointed out in an interview this morning that when the DPP was in power, Tsai Ing-wen and the head of the administrative agency Su Zhen-chang both added the 4th budget for nuclear power. Tsai Ing-wen inspected the 4th nuclear power plant and required the completion as scheduled. Therefore, the DPP's anti-nuclear system was just a scam and political means during the Ma Ying-jeou period, and in order to make a fortune, they cooperated with the funders who engage in green industrial energy.

The "four major referendums" are "anti-Lai Pig", "referendum tied to the general election", "cherishing algae reefs", and "restarting nuclear fourth", and votes were held on December 18. The New Party held a press conference in the morning to announce its support for the "four major referendums" including "anti-Lai Pig". The attendees included Taipei City Councilman Hou Hanting, Party Chairman's Office Director Wang Wanbang, and Public Opinion Center Director Ji Xue. The New Party called on the public to support the restart of the Nuclear Power Plant No. 4, which has scientifically proven safety basis, Hou Hanting was interviewed after the meeting for criticizing the DPP for its anti-nuclearity and its insistence on opening up the "rai pig".

Hou Hanting pointed out that the people who were anti-nuclear power were a group of people from the DPP, and the green funders were engaged in green industrial energy. In order to make themselves rich, they cooperated with the Fukushima nuclear disaster accident and fabricated and combined with many anti-nuclear rumors to launch a political attack on Ma Ying-jeou.

He said that don’t forget that when the DPP was in power from 2000 to 2008, Tsai Ing-wen and Su Zhenchang both added additional nuclear fourth budgets. Tsai Ing-wen also required the completion as scheduled when inspecting the nuclear fourth factory. When Tsai Changting competed for the "general election" in 2008, he said that he did not want to abolish the nuclear fourth after the completion of the nuclear fourth, because he opposed the new nuclear fifth. So if Tsai Changting was elected in 2008, will the DPP still abolish the nuclear fourth? Of course not.

Hou Hanting said that for the DPP, anti-nuclear power is just a scam and political means to attack Ma Ying-jeou, and from the perspective of Taiwan's overall energy structure, nuclear power is of course needed.
