He was going to take Meng Haoran and recommended him to his colleagues in the court to find a job.

740, the great poet Wang Changling went to Xiangyang to visit Meng Haoran.At this time, Meng Haoran suffered from a disease called " carbuncle ", which was a bit similar to the current sepsis. The doctor told him not to eat fish and shrimp, otherwise it would be life-threatening. Meng Haoran, who was generous in character, was very happy to see his friend's arrival and held a banquet to entertain him. The two of them ate and had a great chat. Before the banquet, a famous Xiangyang dish was on the table - Hanjiang Chatou Bree, which was a delicious dish of river food.
The willful Meng Haoran ate very much, drank a lot of wine and recited a lot of poems. A few days later, Meng Haoran's carbuncle relapsed and closed his eyes forever. He was 52 years old at the time. Wang Wei cried very sadly when he learned that his old friend had passed away. He wrote the last poem for his friend:
Old friends are not visible, Han River html flows eastward on the 5th.
