Recently, Sai Kelong officially announced the pre-sale price of RE560. The current official pre-sale price is 36,800 yuan, and a NEXX retro helmet worth 2,968 yuan, and is limited to 100 units.
Parameter configuration:
But I didn't expect that after the price was released, many motorcycle friends had complaints about Sai Kelong. On the one hand, they disliked its high price, much higher than Yi 500 and Wuji AC525. On the other hand, some people disliked Sai Kelong's use of KYB and the domestic shock absorption cost-effectiveness was too low. At the same time, some people suspected that Sai Kelong's engine was unknown, and it was suspected that Qianjiang was made...
So today we will talk about these wonderful questions about RE560, starting with the engine.
With the instant hit of RE3 in 2019, British retro entered the public's vision from a wonderful angle. Compared with traditional retro, it has better configuration; compared with Pioneer retro, it has higher style. The misalignment of demand in
has made RE3 popular for a long time between 2019 and 2020. However, with the increase of 500cc water-cooled retro models, RE3 is gradually at a disadvantage in terms of engine and cost-effectiveness, and gradually faded out of Volkswagen's vision. It is not that RE3 cannot be used, but that the reverse Honda's 500cc is too fragrant.
People who can spend more than 30,000 yuan to buy retro may not be short of money, but everyone must want a better engine. At this time, Sai Kelon made three-hand preparations.
So how did this engine come about?
In fact, based on the outline of the engine case, it is basically certain that this machine has nothing to do with Qianjiang, but it has an indescribable connection with Honda's 500cc engine. But this machine is not simply reverse or not, but has carefully trained and designed it. The easiest way to restore the reverse engine is to restore it 1:1. For example, the KE500 and Honda's 500cc engine have the same cylinder bore and stroke. The advantage of this is that the reverse-formed finished product will be infinitely close to the original in terms of operating quality and power performance, and the project volume will not be too large, because the operation is right in front of you.
. Saikelong's ND560 obviously did not go the ordinary path. It is likely to have cylinder expansion and upgraded based on the Honda 500cc engine.
Saikolong said that "the engine was designed and manufactured by the Italian team throughout the process." I believe this because in terms of parameters, this machine is very powerful, with a maximum power of 43.5kw/8500rpm, a maximum torque of 55nm/6500rpm, and is equipped with Bosch electro-injection, DID chain, and FCC sliding clutch.
While the book parameters exceed 500cc, it can also tie the current 600cc twin-cylinder engine . You should know that Honda's data is only 35kw. If Saikelon is not careful, it will definitely not be able to create such an excellent engine at the data level. The lack of power in RE3 in those years will be compensated by double-over-replacement of RE560.
As for the shock absorber, the lack of KYB does not explain any problem.
KYB shock absorbers have been standard for domestic cars for a long time, which gives everyone the illusion that cars that do not use KYB shock absorbers are cutting leeks. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. KYB shock absorption does not represent anything. The quality of the vehicle shock absorption system depends on how the manufacturer calibrates the shock absorber and whether the shock absorption itself supports adjustment function.
(If the shock absorption supports adjustment, even if the manufacturer does not adjust well, you can adjust the shock absorption until it suits you)
Currently, Saikelong is equipped with a pair of inverted shock absorbers from the domestic shock absorption brand Zhenglin, and this set of shock absorption is better than competitors in two aspects.
Coarse shock absorption will bring slightly heavier curb weight and better riding support. This is also the most shock-absorbing car of the same class.
So how should we explain the pricing of RE560? Why is it more than 2,000 yuan more expensive than the AC525 that uses KYB shock absorption?
Because Saikelong has to leave a way out for other manufacturers! Let’s draw a configuration table and compare it horizontally, and you will know where the Saikelong RE560 is in configuration.
Even if Sai Kelong doesn't give a helmet, it's not too much to sell for 36,800 yuan, because it still has the strongest engine in the same level to support the scene.
Nowadays, not only is the configuration reasonable, but the helmet he gave is indeed very expensive. You can sell it for 2,000 yuan if you use salted fish alone, so the price of RE560 is only 34,800 yuan. If this is not cost-effective, then I really don't know what to say...
Summary:
Saikelong's former shortcomings in RE3 have now been completed on RE560 - the new engine has sound power, and the overall configuration is slightly better than the competitors in the same class, and the target users are also twice as large as RE3.
The former RE3 is only suitable for motorcycle friends who like British appearance, because RE3 is not outstanding in terms of engine and vehicle settings; while RE560 adds enough sporty elements on the basis of retro, with thicker shock absorption, and the aluminum alloy swingarm can also bring lighter unsprung quality. As long as the price does not increase in the future, and the reputation of the first batch of cars is well controlled, I believe RE560 has the opportunity to replicate the sales myth of RE3 and let Saikelong live a warm year.
