The meeting passed the list of the representative qualification review committee composed of 22 people, passed the list of the presidium of the conference consisting of 243 people, and passed Wang Huning as the secretary-general of the conference. The meeting and passed the organizational structure and work tasks of the Secretariat of the Conference.

The agenda of the Congress is: listening to and reviewing the report of the 19th Central Committee; reviewing the work report of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection; reviewing and passing the "Constitution of the Communist Party of China (Amendment)"; electing the 20th Central Committee; and electing the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
