At around 9 a.m. that day, when law enforcement officers were patrolling Xingqian Road, Jimei District, they found a light railing truck next to them. The goods on the truck were covered tightly with canvas, but the sharp-eyed law enforcement officers found that the underside of the canvas was vaguely like a long gas cylinder. Law enforcement officers immediately stepped forward and inspected the car.
At the scene, law enforcement officers asked the driver about the type and quantity of gas carried on the car. The driver said he was not clear and said that he had just come to the company to work for more than a month. The trip that day was to transport the gas cylinder from Tong'an to Jimei.
After inventory on the spot, the car was loaded with 29 gas cylinders, with a total of 4 gases, including 9 bottles of pure oxygen, 6 bottles of argon, 11 bottles of carbon dioxide, and 3 bottles of pure nitrogen, all of which belong to Class 2 dangerous goods. Law enforcement officers conducted a verification from the rear system and confirmed that the vehicle did not have any qualifications for transporting dangerous goods, and the company to which the vehicle had not obtained a road dangerous goods transportation license, which posed a major safety hazard.
Then, the law enforcement officers temporarily detained the car in accordance with the law. According to Article 57, paragraph 1 of the "Regulations on the Transportation of Road Dangerous Goods", the enterprise involved in the case will face a fine of not less than RMB 30,000 and not more than RMB 100,000 from the traffic law enforcement department for illegal acts of engaging in road dangerous goods transportation without obtaining a road dangerous goods transportation license.
