1. Xu Beihong's first wife

"Renyi Fate" tells the story of a poor scholar and a rich lady elopement. It is ups and downs and exciting. In the elegant seat with red frames carved gold on the east side of the second floor of the theater, there is a middle-aged couple dressed in gorgeously and gentle, who are so obsessed with the view that they are obsessed with love and intoxication.
They didn't expect that at this moment, their 17-year-old daughter was about to stage the same plot as in this play: elopement with others. Her relationship was Xu Beihong, an art master who became famous in the painting world in China and even the world.
This enthusiastic and courageous woman, named Jiang Biwei, is Xu Beihong's first wife.

2. Xu Beihong customized a pair of crystal rings, one engraved with "Beihong" and the other engraved with "Biwei"
Jiang Biwei, whose original name is Jiang Tangzhen, was born in 1899 in a famous family in Jiangsu , Yixing . Xu Beihong is four years older than Jiang Tangzhen and is also from Yixing. He has a poor family and has learned painting from his father since childhood. In 1916, she was appreciated by the president of Shanghai Cang Shengmingzhi University and stayed to teach and began to gain a foothold in Shanghai. It happened that Jiang Meihua was hired as a professor at Fudan University. The two deepened their exchanges because of their fellow villagers and old friends.
Xu Beihong is elegant and elegant, extraordinary, persistent in art, diligent and studious. Jiang Meihua appreciates this young man very much and often invites him to visit his home. In this way, Xu Beihong and Jiang Tangzhen met. Jiang Tangzhen is a girl educated in the West, with a unique vitality and vitality, and is 1.7 meters tall and generous. Although Xu Beihong was married and had a child, his wife and children died of illness one after another, and he became a lonely man. Although Xu and Jiang did not date alone on weekdays, they fell in love with each other.
Later, when Cha Zihan made a scandal about cheating in the school, Jiang Biwei had a very bad impression of her fiancé. On one hand, there is a playboy who is not motivated, and on the other hand, there is a very talented and diligent boy. The balance in her heart naturally leans towards Xu Beihong.
Xu Beihong understood her thoughts. It happened that there was an opportunity to study in Japan at that time, so he boldly invited her to go with her. So the beginning scene came, where Xu Beihong's friend took the elders of the Jiang family to watch the show, creating opportunities for the two to elope.
Jiang Biwei wrote a "suicide letter" before leaving, falsely claiming to "death of suicide", leaving behind a mess and left it. When Jiang's father learned about it, he was furious. He guessed the truth, but had to hide his eyes. In order to avoid pursuing the family, he claimed that his daughter died suddenly, and bought a coffin, put it on stone, and buried his daughter in glory.
There is the lament of the old-style family, but this is the love between young men and women. Early on, Xu Beihong customized a pair of crystal rings, one with "Beihong" and the other with "Biwei". He wore a ring engraved with "Biwei" all day long. When others asked, he said happily, "This is the name of my future wife." Others then asked who his wife was, and he just smiled without saying a word.
"When I first met, the clear water and the blue sky were blue, and the breeze was blowing, so you should call Biwei." Biwei was the new name he gave her . The name is changed to commemorate the new life of love.
The initial love is like a boy under the river, surrounded by water and grass, and duckweed, but he has to poke his head out to breathe hard.
They wore rings engraved with each other's names, embracing each other on the giant ship of the East Crossing River to look at the blue sky and the mountains, imagining the future with a high sky and wide waters and a rippling charm. Looking and imagination mean a fearless attitude.
3. Zhiqing is just at night, he is wandering low and hiding
Just arrived in Japan, with a happy love and a difficult life. At that time, Xu Beihong was still unknown and it was difficult to even take action on a painting, but he was crazy about imitating original paintings. He bought paintings regardless of his care, and he was unable to make ends meet. In less than half a year, he spent all his money with only two thousand yuan. Jiang Biwei learns to be thrifty in the family, and does some manual work to supplement the household income. Sometimes she has to use her jewelry to pawn shop to exchange for money. On the most difficult days, she even wants to work as a female worker to subsidize her life.
Bread is not enough after all, but fortunately love is getting stronger and stronger. The two separated for the first time, Xu Beihong went to Southeast Asia alone. Because he missed Jiang Biwei so much, he actually cried bitterly at the banquet, which was hard to suppress. It was also during that time that he wrote all his thoughts into "My Deep in Dreams":
I don't understand the monk and still love him, and I have been so obsessed with him for seven years.
Know that you are just at night, and the shadow is low and wandering.
Two years later, Xu Beihong went to France to study with Kang Youwei. After some hardships, Xu Beihong's painting skills and social reputation have improved, and their lives have improved.
When in Paris, Jiang Biwei went to the mall and fell in love with a windbreaker, but it was too expensive. After Xu Beihong found out, he worked hard to paint. After saving 1,000 yuan, he immediately went to the mall to buy the windbreaker. Jiang Biwei cried excitedly and happily after putting it on. At that time, men were popular with pocket watches, and Xu Beihong was reluctant to buy them, so she saved up food expenses and bought him a pocket watch. Although the days of wandering overseas are bitter, love brews a sweet taste from the bitterness.
After two rounds of further studies in France and Japan, Xu Beihong's return to China has become increasingly famous and was hired as a professor of art at Central University. As his artistic accomplishments gradually improved, his economic situation also improved. In 1932, Xu Beihong finally built his own villa in Nanjing - Xu Beihong Mansion No. 4 Fuhougang.
Good days are always borne out, and what Jiang Biwei has now is what most women in the world dream of throughout their lives, with a luxurious residence, lovely children and successful husband. She often lie on the bench in the garden with a teacup, enjoying the gifts given by fate proudly. She felt that this was God's reward for her, after all, she had suffered so much with Xu Beihong.
However, happiness always looks pleasing, and it is not clear that there is arsenic mixed in it. The estrangement is like a warm snake coming back, biting you out of control. When Jiang Biwei held salons and parties every day, and managed her daily life in a wonderful way, his painter husband devoted himself to art and began to become indifferent to her.
"Bei Hong only loves art, not me anymore." Many years later, Jiang Biwei summarized the reasons for the breakup of the two, saying, "(before elopement) we have never been alone, because it is impossible in my conservative family, and we have never talked to one sentence. Even if there is an opportunity, he and I will try our best to avoid it." A woman who is obsessed with love will blame love and understanding for all emotional problems. But I think that apart from temperament and interests, their deviations in values and outlook on life are the dominant factors that ultimately part ways.
At the time when the villa was first built, Xu Beihong named the villa "Hidden Cang", which means "being prepared for danger in times of peace". Jiang Biwei felt that the name was unlucky and firmly opposed it. Xu Beihong has a Chinese painting called "Against the Wind": In the strong wind and strong grass, a group of weak sparrows are not afraid of the cold and fly in the wind. He demonstrated his fortitude and backbone of not fearing power through his works. After the September 18th Incident in 1931, Xu Beihong wrote the oil painting "The Resignation of Me", titled "The Resignation of Me": "The Resignation of Me, and later the Resignation of Me." The painting depicts the scene of the dry earth under the rule of Jie Xia, the grass is difficult to grow, the people are barren, and the ox is thin. People all look up at the sky, looking forward to the rescue of the wise monarch. This painting hangs high in the Central University Auditorium, and some people say it is to use the past to mock the present and attack the government.After Jiang Biwei found out, she urged Xu Beihong to be at peace and not to bewitch people's hearts. Xu Beihong laughed and said, "This is exactly the purpose of my painting." Jiang disagreed. Later, the two quarreled from time to time on political ideas.
One of them just wants to swim out in chaos and enjoy material prosperity, but the other insists on expressing their political views and plead for the people. Although they have different ambitions, they have to be tied together, and the final outcome can only be gradually drifting away.
4. Xu Beihong published a newspaper to terminate his first marriage
Just as Xu and Jiang were having a gap, a female student named Sun Yunjun broke into Xu Beihong's world. Xu Beihong did not hide her love for her. He always praised her talent in front of everyone, and sometimes even taught her only one person in class. At that time, rumors on campus were stirring upside down. Xu Beihong used her old trick again and gave her a new name "Duoci". She also customized two red bean rings, one with "Ce" and the other with "Sad".
and Jiang Biwei's atmospheric and straightforwardness are completely different. Sun Duoci always looks soft and graceful, and such a woman is more likely to tease the artist's heartstrings. He used all his tenderness to the old people on the new people. It turns out that love has a not-far-distant similarity.
Jiang Biwei was furious when she knew everything. Xu Beihong drew a painting of "Taishan Night Moon" to enjoy the moon with Sun Duoci, and she moved away without hesitation; Sun Duoci gave Xu Beihong 100 maple seedlings, and she burned them away with fire. She also went to find Sun Duoci's parents and leaders to make trouble. People in the world say that Jiang Biwei transforms persistence and enthusiasm into a stubborn and tenacious person. In fact, they don’t know that a stubborn person is just a soft cocoon.
At this time, Xu Jiang reminded me of Hu Shi and his wife Jiang Dongxiu. After Jiang Dongxiu found out that Hu Shi had a new love, she cried and threw the kitchen knife, which shocked the gentle and refined Dr. Hu and completely cut off the idea of divorce and marrying. But Xu Beihong is not Hu Shi after all, and he has a strong wife at home. Xu Beihong also retreated at first, but there was a rebound soon after retreating. He published a notice in the Guangxi Daily: I and Ms. Jiang Biwei have been separated from cohabitation for a long time, and all his careers in society are personally responsible.
The unswerving affectionately followed each other and 18 years of support have now become illegal cohabitation in his eyes.
Time, you can understand love, prove love, and overturn love. It is conceivable how desperate Jiang Biwei should be at this time. Time is a gamble, but the bet is herself.
Sun Duoci's family has been opposed after knowing about her and Xu Beihong, and the Sun family even moved their family. Sun's father reluctantly agreed to meet the two, but the condition was that he could only meet outside the Sun family.
The location where they finally met was Linghu Park in Anqing. Sun's mother was worried and asked someone to follow her. Because there were others present, the two of them couldn't say anything. Before leaving, Sun Duoci leaned on Xu Beihong's shoulder, tears streaming down his eyes, and Xu Beihong also shed tears. He said, "This may be the last time we met."
Later, Sun Duoci was forced to marry by his parents, and hurriedly married another person, and was depressed. Jiang Biwei took her children to another place. Before leaving, she said to Xu Beihong: "If you break up with her, the door of this family will be open to you at any time. But if it is because someone abandons you, they get married or die, you will return to me, I'm sorry, I will never accept it." Xu Beihong, who was seeking love in vain, once turned around with a shameless face and begged Jiang Biwei to get back together. There were six times in total. Jiang Biwei refused happily every time: "I'm not a waste recycling bin."
Since then, they have never lived together. They can never go back.
5. Xu Beihong's last marriage only lasted for seven years.
1942, 50-year-old Xu Beihong met 27-year-old Liao Jingwen , and fell in love again. In 1943, Liao Jingwen was admitted to the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts founded by Xu Beihong and worked as a librarian. From then on, he began to assist in work with Xu Beihong. Because we are with each other day, love will grow over time.After Jiang Biwei discovered this suspected "teacher-student love", she incited the Liao family to come forward to stop it. Under heavy pressure, Liao Jingwen decided to cut off his love and leave without telling Xu Beihong.
"I was waiting for the ferry by the Jialing River and was secretly sad. A big hand slapped my shoulder. Beihong used to go back to his residence at noon after class. That day, he was uneasy and went back after only two classes. He found that the notes I wrote came after madly. He said, I have nothing to do with Jiang Biwei . I will satisfy her whatever she wants, as long as I can be with you."
Perhaps because of missing out, Shu Yahong, who was in love with ten years in his thirties, this time, Xu Beihong broke up with Jinse Nianhua and elope. In order to clarify that he had no relationship with Jiang Biwei, he once again published a newspaper, declaring that he had already terminated his illegal cohabitation relationship with her.
This time, she completely angered Jiang Biwei. In 1944, she and Xu Beihong filed a divorce lawsuit. Many people had divorced during the Republic of China, but the only ones who had a fight to the court were probably Xu Beihong and Jiang Biwei. As a result, Jiang Biwei won a great victory, not only gaining custody of her children, but also received 1 million yuan in compensation, 40 ancient paintings, and 100 of his own paintings from Xu Beihong.
She wanted to carefully select the 100 paintings. She felt unsatisfied, so she went back and let Xu Beihong paint them again. After all, Xu Beihong felt guilty towards her. In addition to agreeing to all the conditions, she also gave her favorite "Piano Lesson". In the painting, the girl tilted her head slightly and played the violin, her eyes were soft and charming. She was Jiang Biwei from the Paris period.
"In order to pay off the painting debt she asked for, Beihong painted day and night. He was used to painting while standing, and soon he became hypertension and nephritis, and was critically ill and hospitalized. I slept on the floor and took care of him for four months before I was discharged from the hospital." Liao Jingwen recalled that Xu Beihong was trying to catch these 100 paintings, and forgot to eat and sleep, exhausted his body, and died young.
Between Xu Beihong and Jiang Biwei, he owe her love and she took his life. They owe each other, but they never had the chance to let go of their past grudges.
1953, when Master Xian left, Liao Jingwen was only 30 years old, and Xu Beihong's last marriage was only together for only seven years.
Later, Liao Jingwen donated more than 1,200 Xu Beihong's remaining works, more than 1,100 calligraphy and painting works in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as tens of thousands of precious books and materials to the country. In 1954, the country established the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall on the basis of Xu Beihong's former residence, and Liao Jingwen began to serve as a series of positions such as the director of the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall, the honorary president of the Xu Beihong Painting Academy, and the chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association.

6. Who responded to whom's disaster, who was obsessed with whom
In fact, Jiang Biwei's second half of life was not lonely. It is said that disappointment is not scary, but what is scary is that you are not disappointed enough. If you save enough disappointment, you can start all over again. After Xu Beihong made his first statement, Jiang Biwei looked for love again and became Zhang Daofan's mistress. Zhang Daofan is not as famous as Xu Beihong, but he is also a well-known figure. He is a backbone figure in the CC department of the Kuomintang and is highly appreciated by Chen Lifu. After going to Taiwan, he served as the position of the Legislative Yuan of Taiwan and other important positions.
Zhang Daofan met Jiang Biwei while in Paris. Many years later, he recalled affectionately in his letter to Jiang: "You left a deep impression on me that day. You were wearing a bright and unique dress, with a bright red background, a gray-yellow background, and a long skirt with a gray-yellow background, and a bright red flower. You stood on that red carpet, graceful and graceful, and looked so elegant and luxurious." After falling in love with her at first sight, Zhang Daofan opened the young woman Jiang Biwei's heart with a love letter attack.
Zhang Daofan originally promised to marry Jiang Biwei when she was 60 years old. On that day, Zhang Yan invited many guests to celebrate Jiang's birthday, but did not mention the promise at all. After the banquet, the two had a big fight and broke up from then on.

In her later years, she refused Zhang Daofan's support and relied on the huge breakup fee given by Xu Beihong to sell some paintings one after another, and her life was good. But that "Piano Lesson" was never willing to sell, and it was placed in her bedroom until she died.
In 1966, Jiang Biwei wrote a memoir of 500,000 words, breaking down her life into two emotional experiences. The first article "Me and Beihong" and the next article "Me and Daofan". This book was hailed as "China's first female autobiography" by Crown magazine.
Xu Beihong was a failure back and forth. She was full of regret and regret for him. "I have been wandering around the world with him since I was eighteen. For more than 20 years, not only did I not receive any care from him, but I suffered endless pain and disasters..."

In 1982, Liao Jingwen also published his memoir "Xu Beihong's Life - My Memories". Xu Beihong was considerate and perfect in her heart. On the day he passed away, he hugged his already cold body and found that there were still three candies in his pocket.
The lonely and tender and meticulous description of the different stages of life of the same Xu Beihong. What Jiang Biwei writes is a stubborn young dream-chasing person, like a green fruit; what Liao Jingwen writes is an elegant and peaceful master of art well-known to the world, full of ripe and seductive fragrance.
In fact, when Xu Beihong passed away, he not only carried three candies on his body, but also contained the pocket watch that Jiang Biwei bought for him in Paris. He almost never left this watch. The commemoration of the two loves was finally combined into one at the last moment of his life.
Zhang Ailing said: Memories are always melancholy, and they are so happy that they make people feel that they are over. It’s a pity that they are over. It’s still sad to think about them unhappy.
