Yesterday's military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, I was so excited that I saw the appearance of veterans in the Anti-Japanese War, and even more tears were filled with tears. In fact, during the Anti-Japanese War, many anti-Japanese righteous men also appeared in the literary and artistic circles. Today, the author will bring you to commemorate a late movie star who was very familiar with the 1970s and 1980s and had made many classic movies. During the Anti-Japanese period, he was definitely called a "anti-Japanese" hero. Moreover, because of his anti-Japanese feat, the Kuomintang authorities also awarded him a major general senator.
Mr. Guan Dexing is famous for starring in up to 77 movies about Huang Feihong. In the movie, Huang Feihong is a chivalrous and brave man who helps the poor and helps the poor. He is not only an excellent martial artist, but also a doctor who saves the world and is also a generation of doctors. Mr. Guan Dexing is definitely another "Huang Feihong".
1906 on May 25, lunar calendar, Guan Dexing was born in Guangzhou. His ancestral home is Chikan Town, Kaiping City, Guangdong Province. He was born in a poor family and ranked second. His father died of illness in his early years. At the age of 12, Guan Dexing began to make money by relying on his strength and do a small abandon in the construction industry. At the age of 13, he once went to a restaurant in Singapore to work as a waiter and began to learn opera, becoming a disciple of New Taipei. At the age of 16, Guan Dexing has gone to Guangzhou to participate in the "Red Boat Class" and often performs in the countryside. Later, in order to further study Cantonese opera, he became a disciple of Liang Yuanheng. He was interested in learning to write a screenwriter and wrote a novel, but he had never published it.
When he was two or three years old, he was taken away by a kidnapper on the road. When he passed by the yamen, he suddenly burst into tears, asking the kidnapper to let go of Guan Dexing and escape. The yamen sent him home. He studied for a year at the age of 7, and at the age of 8, he returned to Hongxi, the master's family in Chikan, Kaiping from Guangzhou to work as a farmer. Guan Dexing went to a wealthy family to be a "coffee boy". A year later, he learned to be a hawker and bought some groceries to sell them in a nearby small town. It was not during the period of the market, so he made "rosin candles" at home for sale, with a low income.
12 years old, Guan Dexing began to make money by relying on his strength to work as a construction worker. He was born strong and powerful, able to walk 1 mile with 70 bricks (a brick weighs 3 kilograms). In addition, he also carried a bamboo pole, and later learned to build a shed. Because of his hard work, he was deeply satisfied with the foreman and his income increased slightly. When Guan Dexing was young, he liked to watch Cantonese opera ("watch big dramas") and especially liked the heroic and righteous plays. After each reading, I will follow the example when I go home and dance. He also said to his mother, "I want to learn opera." His mother disagreed at the time and did not expect it to become a fact later.
Guan Dexing has loved watching dramas since he was a child, and being an actor was his wish. When he was 13 years old, he and a group of poor children crossed the ocean and wanted to "nuggle gold", and went to Hong Kong first and then to Singapore. When they were about to arrive in Singapore on the "Blue Yantong" foreign ship, they were intercepted. At that time, Singapore, which was ruled by Britain, stipulated that it was necessary to go to "Yukuan" to disinfect sulfur first. Guan Dexing and the whole boat were all made to vomit even when the yellow galls were vomited, and they had never eaten for three days and four nights. What I vomited in the end was some bloodshot. He arrived in Singapore only after suffering a live crime.
After he arrived in Singapore, he worked hard. When he saw heavy and large luggage or objects, he would definitely carry them. As a result, he was spotted by a local boss (the theater manager) and took him in the theater as a young man, that is, he was a young man who served guests and did some chores. Because of their diligence and obedience, the boss and his wife were satisfied. In addition, they had no children, so they gradually treated Guan Dexing as their son. The boss and his wife knew that Guan Dexing wanted to learn opera, so they asked a young student named "New Taipei" to accept Guan Dexing as their apprentice. At this point, Guan Dexing was considered a formal drama show. That year, he was only 14 years old. When you become a master, you must first serve the master and follow others. You must make the master happy before you can teach your disciples slowly. Guan Dexing did all these things well, so he taught him martial arts and even some unique skills.
16 years old, Guan Dexing had already achieved success in his studies. When his master wanted to go to the United States, he went to Guangzhou to participate in the "Red Boat Class" and often went to the countryside to perform. Later, in order to further study the Cantonese opera, he became a disciple of Zhengyin Xiaowu and Liang Yuanheng. At first, he was still a "supervisor" on stage and failed to speak. Soon, Guan Dexing transferred to a opera troupe called "Zhu Huanian", which was a giant troupe in the province, Hong Kong and Macao. The famous old pros include Liang Ju, Liang Xueqiu, Xinquan, Snake Li and Hua Qie Xiaohong, etc. They were all famous big pros in the Cantonese opera industry at that time. Among them, Jing Yuanheng's favorite disciple Jingjiu (Guan Dexing's senior brother) is the most popular.
Once performed, Liang failed to appear because of the incident. The headmaster asked Guan Dexing to go on stage and went on stage. He imitated Liang and received applause from the audience. He changed his name to "Xinliangju". This is how Guan Dexing's stage name Xinliang came from. At the age of 19, Guan Dexing was famous at the beginning and was promoted by his classmate. He became a second-gang Xiaowu in the Cantonese Opera Rock in "Zhu Huanian". To show that he is peaceful and peaceful, he is a second gang. He signed a two-year class appointment with the "Zhu Huanian" class owner." Two years later, Guan Dexing was 21 years old. He gradually became popular in "Wishing Huanian". Guan Dexing asked himself that he had earned a lot of money for the "Wishing Huanian" class owner, repaying his grace for promotion, so that he would not renew his contract, and decided to form a class to perform.
22-year-old Guan Dexing's class plaque is called "Big Boy". It started to perform in the four townships and was very popular and caused a sensation. It earned about 10,000 yuan in silver that year. When he was 23 years old, Guan Dexing got married. His wife was the daughter of the actor "Zhu Sheng". His father's "Zhu Sheng" was very good at "Zhu Sheng". This person tied his feet and jumped on the stage. He flew over three platforms with one somersault. He landed silently and stood steadily, often winning applause from the audience.
25 years old, the domestic Cantonese opera industry was filled with calm wind, so Guan Dexing went to Vietnam. His performances in Vietnam were very popular with the audience, and every show was full. In just three months, he earned more than 100,000 yuan in Vietnamese coins. Guan Dexing is a person who is clean and loves himself and is praised by local overseas Chinese. A Vietnamese overseas Chinese leader also wrote a special couplet to him as a commemoration, which reads: "Not the habits of actors nowadays; have the virtues of self-discipline."
1932, Guan Dexing was hired by the Greater China Theater in San Francisco, USA to perform on stage. He also visited Hollywood Cinema with famous directors Guan Wenqing, Zhao Shufan and others, and developed a strong interest in movies. At that time, audio films had just emerged, so Guan Wenqing and Zhao Shufan invited him to star in the audio film "Singer Love Tide". This is the first audio film taken by a Chinese director and a Chinese actor in the United States. Later, "Singer Love Tide" was screened in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and was screened in both places for 3 months.

1934, Guan Dexing left the United States and returned to Hong Kong. Seeing that "Singer Girl Love Trend" was so popular, he immediately started filming the second movie "Song of Yesterday" starring him, and followed the third "Song of Remnant Song". In the same year, Guan Dexing also formed the Cantonese opera troupe with his own interests. During his trip to the United States, he was deeply influenced by European style and American rain. When he came back, he boldly innovated and auditioned for "Fashion Cantonese Opera". The plays include "Eighteen Years of Divorce", "Who Is the Adulterer in the Wind", etc., which are popular among the audience. When Guan Dexing was in the United States, Chinese Kuang Bingshun taught him to use a leather whip and extinguish the lit candles. Later, he was so skilled that he used it in fashion dramas. He wrote a movie "The God Whip" himself, the plot is fresh, but the audience admired the most was the magic whip.
1937 Japan invaded China, and the Chinese people rose up to fight against the war. Overseas Chinese have launched the "aircraft donation campaign", and Hong Kong compatriots responded and wanted to raise funds for two fighter jets. Guan Dexing took active action in Hong Kong and contributed money and efforts. He did a lot of work:
1. Donated a famous car and presented his American famous car "Shi Diao Bijia" sedan to promote the anti-Japanese and national salvation. He hung a cloth banner on the famous car, and wrote "Xinliang donated this car to respond to the machine-dedication movement!" Then he marched in Hong Kong and Kowloon respectively to promote the machine-dedication activities. As a result, Hong Kong and Kowloon donated a total of seven aircraft.
2. Exclusive music performance. He and Bai Jurong, Hu Dieying, Feng Jinghua and others held a charity performance at Puqing Theater "Modern Overlords raised more than 20,000 Hong Kong dollars, donating all of them.
3. Go to the United States to raise funds. At the end of 1938, Guan Dexing went to the United States to raise anti-Japanese funds again. He established a leadership body with a group of overseas Chinese leaders in the United States called the "San Francisco National Salvation Association", which was specifically responsible for planning anti-Japanese propaganda and arousing the attention of overseas Chinese and American people.
Kuang Bingshun, chairman of the "San Francisco National Salvation Association of the United States", is a local wealthy businessman, and this is a stark banner. Large and medium-sized cities with overseas Chinese in the United States have established "Salvation Branches". The China General Chamber of Commerce in Chinatown met with Guan Dexing so enthusiastic and was deeply moved. They sent two large groups of troops to ask Guan Dexing to carry out various publicity activities. In addition, Guan Dexing also used his extraordinary martial arts performance to raise funds. He raised funds in major and medium-sized cities in the United States with performances such as "Divine Whip Extinguishing Candle Fire", "Flying Knife Skills", "Tighting Bows", and "Black Shirt in the Great Cold Sky".
As a result, his martial arts performance raised a total of US$5,000, he raised 7 rescue vehicles and collected 32 boxes of cold clothes. He was transported back to Hong Kong and transferred to the mainland by Dalai Shipping Company. From 1937 to 1938, Guan Dexing promoted the anti-Japanese war and national salvation in the United States. He organized the "San Francisco National Saving Association" to raise more than 300,000 US dollars, all handed over to the country. The Kuomintang authorities presented him with the banner of "Patriotic Artist" to express commendation, and the name of patriotic artist came from this.
At the end of 1938, Guan Dexing decided that the United States would return to China to participate in the anti-Japanese ranks. However, the travel expenses for the whole family returning to China have become a problem. Someone proposed to withdraw a sum from the donations from overseas Chinese as travel expenses, but Guan Dexing firmly disagreed. He said: "A penny of this money must be remitted back to the motherland, purchase airplanes, cannons, and injured vehicles to strengthen the strength of anti-Japanese war. No one is allowed to use a penny of one penny!" Finally, a group of overseas Chinese businessmen jointly gave him a boat ticket.
When the ship arrived in Honolulu, the dock was filled with overseas Chinese and warmly welcomed him. Guan Dexing did not miss every opportunity and raised funds. He hoped that the overseas Chinese in Honolulu donated a plane for the motherland, worth US$12,000. As a result, with everyone's enthusiastic donation, they really raised 12,000 yuan and could buy a fighter jet. After returning to Hong Kong, he handed over the cold clothes and medicines he had transported to the "Chinese Women's National Saving Council" (He Xiangning is the president).
Then, he stayed in Hong Kong to do anti-Japanese propaganda. He formed the "Hong Kong Cantonese Opera National Rescue Service Group" and famous artists in Hong Kong at that time Ma Shizeng and Xue Juexian also participated in the troupe's charity performance. The first charity performance raised 12,000 yuan. As the leader of the regiment, he had to plan his trip back to China, and command his teammates to rehearse the show, practiced (infantry exercises) and persuaded donations on time during the day (including donating money, medicine, clothes, etc. to transport them back to the mainland). He also has to perform or sacrifice his sleeping time to write new dramas, such as his fashion drama "Two Hungry Soldiers" written by him, which is very touching.
1939, most parts of Guangdong had fallen. Guan Dexing's Cantonese Opera Salvation Troupe returned to China and went to the end of the fallen Guangzhou Bay (i.e. Zhanjiang), and was sent to Suixi County. He was received by the "South Road Administrative Office" located here and arranged for them to perform in Suixi, Lianjiang and other places. At that time, Guan Dexing had a high reputation and many titles. The Kuomintang also granted Guan Dexing the Senate as Major General. But he is not paid.
This troupe performed in the rear area of Guangdong and Guangxi for 3 months, with 93 performances in the first and last years. I also met Ms. He Xiangning. He Xiangning gave Guan Dexing an exquisite paper fan, and wrote a letter to "Patriotic artist, return to the public."
At the end of 1941, the Japanese invaders invaded Hong Kong, and Guan Dexing disguised himself as an old and rustic countryman and fled Hong Kong. Returning to Qujiang (Shaoguan City, the temporary resident of the Guangdong Provincial Government at that time), he was sent to a nursing home with 20,000 children, mainly teaching children to learn opera and do national salvation propaganda.
In 1952, he opened the Guandexing Pharmacy on King's Road, Hong Kong, which specializes in "Guandexing Rheumatism Medicine, and does not charge medical expenses or medical expenses for the poor", which is deeply praised by the poor. In 1961, Guan Dexing immigrated to the United States and actively participated in various public welfare activities of overseas Chinese traveling to the United States. For example, it raises funds for the Chinese Event Center in San Francisco and the Seniors Event Center in Toronto, Canada.
1967, Guan Dexing returned to Hong Kong from the United States to film the movie series "Huang Feihong" again with the entertainment film company. In 1990, he established a private charity "Elderly Health Park" in Hong Kong.In 1991, when the East China flooded, Guan Dexing led his disciples to raise 12 million Hong Kong dollars in donations, and also contracted 18 domestic clothing processing factories, and sewed more than 200,000 aircraft-shaped cotton coats (i.e., the "One Person, One Cotton Clothes" campaign) to support the people in the disaster area.
In 1994, Guan Dexing donated money to the Lianjiang disaster area under Zhanjiang City through Wenhui Po, and later raised 800,000 Hong Kong dollars to buy sweaters to give it to the disaster area in Hunan and Guangxi.
In the same year, he filmed the New Year film "The Rich House", and co-starred by Leslie Cheung, Leslie Cheung, Cheng Yuling and Wong Pai-ming, which is his final work. From 1949 to 1994, Guan Dexing filmed a total of 77 movies in his life. This year, the "Huang Feihong" series of movies was listed in the "Guinness" record and was hailed as the longest series in the world. It has also been commended by the US government, awarded certificates and honors of citizens, and is known as the "International Charity Star".
1995, he held a 91-year-old feast and raised funds for children suffering from muscular atrophy in Hong Kong. He established a permanent fund "Injury and Health Children's Fund", which is supervised and handled by the Hong Kong Injury and Health Association.
In the spring of 1996, Guan Dexing returned to the United States in his twilight years and received a doctorate in humanities awarded by Armstrong University in San Francisco. In the same year, he returned to Hong Kong with illness and was admitted to Mary's Hospital. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Guan Dexing was in serious illness and his friendship with visiting him once said: " I have been doing things all my life, but I have a clear conscience. Do my best to do what I should do. As a descendant of Yan and Huang, I must not see the demise of my country. Life is colorful, and it is not in vain for myself. "
In June 1996, a generation of patriotic artist passed away unfortunately at the age of 91.
