China News Service, Toronto, November 20 (Reporter Yu Ruidong) In response to changes in the epidemic situation, the Canadian federal government announced on November 19 that it would further adjust border measures. Starting November 30, Canada will expand its list of COVID-19 vaccines that inbound passengers must receive, including China's Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines.

. Officials said that the updated list is intended to match the World Health Organization's list of emergency use of the new crown vaccine. The newly accepted vaccines in Canada also include the COVAXIN vaccine developed by India's Bharat Company. This means that international passengers who have received the above-mentioned COVID-19 vaccine for full doses and have been 14 days old will be able to obtain recognition when entering Canada.

Starting from September 7 this year, Canada will allow international travelers who have fully received the four officially recognized COVID-19 vaccines from Canada, including Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

The Canadian government also announced that from November 30, Canadian citizens and permanent residents who have been fully vaccinated and have the right to enter the country will no longer have to show the virus molecular test certificate before entering the country when they enter the country within 72 hours after leaving Canada. All travelers whose outbound time exceeds 72 hours must issue a virus molecular test certificate when entering Canada again.

Starting from January 15, 2022, certain travelers currently exempt from relevant entry requirements must be allowed to enter Canada if they are fully vaccinated. These groups include: individuals traveling to reunite with their families, international students over the age of 18, professional and amateur athletes, individuals with valid work permits, and specific "essential" industry practitioners.

Canadian officials also emphasized that according to the plan, starting from November 30, you will need to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Canada or cross-border travel. Viral molecular testing proof will in principle no longer be accepted as an alternative to vaccination certificates.

Canadian government said it will continue to make appropriate adjustments to border measures and will consider further adjusting pre-entry virus testing requirements for vaccinated persons in the subsequent stages. The Canadian government is also looking at follow-up measures to reopen more Canadian airports to receive international passenger flights. (End)
