"I learned piano at the age of 5. At the age of 9, I was influenced by a neighbor and decided to take the path of professional development, so I came to Shanghai to learn from my master." After coming to Shanghai, Deng Yiqun studied with teachers such as He Baoquan , Sun Wenyan . After deciding to apply for the exam for the first hour, there are only 2 months left for preparation. At that time, although Deng Yiqun was not very old, he had high requirements for himself. Due to his hard work, he successfully passed the entrance examination for Shangyin Affiliated Primary School.

After entering the affiliated elementary school, he first followed Wang Wei teacher, and later transferred to Teacher Qi Yao's disciple. He said that he started learning piano with Teacher Qi Yao in 2005. Under the guidance of the teacher, his understanding of the future has gradually become clear.
Teacher Qi Yao said: "Deng Yiqun's gains come from his hard work. He spent other people's time practicing the piano, and a lot of piano practice made his hands rough." Speaking of this, Teacher Qi sighed, "Since Xiaoliu came to me, he almost never took a vacation. Everyone jokingly called him the 'Sai Wang'." Deng Yiqun also smiled and said that he must go to every game and competed with all the games he could.
In August 2008, the second year of the junior high school, Deng Yiqun participated in the Wenhua Awards competition at that time and won the silver award. Due to the vacancy of the gold award that year, he actually won the highest award in the youth group. That award gave Xiao Deng Yiqun sufficient confidence and also made him constantly clarify the direction of his progress.
In November 2009, he was in his first year of high school and participated in the Golden Bell Awards for the first time. He was the youngest player in the competition that year. He reached 10th place and won the Excellence Award. When he was a sophomore, in 2013, he once again participated in the Golden Bell Awards competition, entered the finals, and won the second place in the Excellence Award. This year is his third time participating in the Golden Bell Awards.

For this year's competition, he felt a lot of pressure and admitted: "I hope to get better results in this competition, and I am really under pressure. There are many contestants who are born in the 2000s. To be honest, if you participate in more competitions, you will be more and more pressure while you have rich experience."
Only with pressure can you have motivation! Teacher Qi laughed and said that Deng Yiqun has strong tolerance, like a large truck with a load of 20 tons. When facing pressure and setbacks, Deng Yiqun said: "Every setback is learning and progress. The competition is not the ultimate goal."
Every time he comes back from the competition, he will summarize the gains and losses with his teacher, and summarize his own and others' strengths and weaknesses. Due to his interest, he also likes to analyze other people's performances to learn from others' strengths and weaknesses. Deng Yiqun admitted that he likes to think and practicing the piano hard is one aspect. Teacher Qi often says to students: "While you realize your teacher's requirements, you also realize yourself. The same is true for your relationship with the audience. Deng Yiqun has a strong interest in the genre of guzheng playing, music from various countries and various performance professional categories. He said: "The Guzheng is just one of many music categories. It has a long history, but it has only been decades since she entered the national music teaching system and needs to learn from others. I am very interested in folk and performers who are active on the world stage. They have a lot of good things that we need to summarize. I am willing to widely absorb the 'nutrition' in folk and world music to enrich my musical literacy and enrich my artistic thinking!"

In 2016, he was selected into the school's first "Sound Talent Helps Fly" talent training project, and held a personal concert called " Dingfengbo " in He Luting Concert Hall . The song "Ding Fengbo" in the concert is a work created by himself. The work won the third prize in the "National Outstanding Zheng Music Works" competition in September this year, which is the highest award won by professional performance contestants in the competition.
He also chose this work in the semi-final stage of the Golden Bell Awards. It is rare to choose works created by yourself as the competition track. In addition to his own works, he also chose another works in the semi-finals.

The Zhejiang school that has been established in Shangyin is not only one of the five major guzheng schools that have been identified, but also a genre that keeps pace with the times.
