At 7:26 am on June 25, the Maidian Fire Brigade received a report that the wires outside the house were on fire, saying that no. 17, Lane 2, Huayuanshuixi Road, behind the Longfeng TV Building, were on fire.
Due to the narrow alleys in the fire site, the rescue time was slightly delayed. At 7:38, firefighters arrived at the scene. The fire site was found to be located in a 4-storey residential building at No. 17, Lane 2, Shuixi Road, Longfeng Huayuan. The fire point of was an electric vehicle parked at the entrance of the first floor.
The fire at the scene was not big but thick smoke was everywhere. The stairs were filled with a lot of toxic smoke that could not be discharged. Many residents upstairs were trapped in the house and could not escape normally. The situation was critical.
Firefighting commanders and fighters immediately set up a tough attack team and used water guns to cover up the stairs to search and rescue trapped people.
A man and baby on the second floor were rescued first, while a family of three on the fourth floor and residents who escaped to the rooftop were rescued one after another.
8:05, the open flame was extinguished. More than 10 residents were evacuated in time, and three trapped people were rescued, including a baby and a 3-year-old child. The fire caused no casualties.
