html At 11:00 a.m. on September 11, the 27th China Fashion Design Newcomer Award, co-organized by the China Fashion Designers Association and Winner Fashion Group, held the ultimate showdown at China International Fashion Week. 65 students from 60 colleges and universities across the country were shortlisted for the final evaluation of the "Newcomer Award". Tan Shuyue, a student of the 2018 Clothing and Clothing Design Department of the School of Fine Arts and Design of our school, won the top ten Chinese Fashion Design "Newcomer Award" in the 27th China Fashion Design, and Mr. Liu Yushan won the "Outstanding Instructor Award" in the 2022 China Fashion Design, and at the same time, our school's School of Fine Arts and Design won the three awards of the 2022 China Fashion Design "Education Award".
China Fashion Design "Newcomer Award" is a professional selection activity for selecting outstanding fashion design graduates from higher art colleges and universities across the country. A total of 615 outstanding undergraduate and junior college students in the fashion design major recommended by 106 universities across the country and master's degree students in the 2022 selection were participated in the evaluation. The China Fashion Design Newcomer Award is a comprehensive evaluation of national clothing schools and their fresh graduates. It selects the top ten "education awards" in the Chinese clothing education industry and the "Top Ten" Newcomer Award in the Chinese fashion industry every year, with extremely high gold content.
This year's "Newcomer Award" is based on green and sustainable design, and explores top sustainable fashion design talents with fashion height, both commercial and social value. With the theme of "Fashion "Green" Movement", the selection is centered on sustainable fashion. The contestants need to uphold the design concept of sustainable development to create trend works. The judges will comprehensively consider key elements such as originality, design innovation, color effect, work integrity, fashion popularity, commercial transformation and the positiveness of design ideas of the creative proposal.
Tan Shuyue's entry "Splashing Tea" series, from "Don't be surprised by wine and sleep heavily in spring, gambling books to get the fragrance of tea. "Get inspiration and express the hope that more people can gain calmness and lightness in the industrial era. From this perspective, we quote tea dyeing, extract natural pigments, and dye fabrics. Transfer the concept of treating nature well, treating ourselves well, and combining nature with life. At the same time, we use traditional techniques such as plant dyeing, French crochet embroidery, patch embroidery, hand-push embroidery and other traditional techniques to create a series of "green" clothing that belongs to you and me.
The fruitful results of this competition are the result of the innovative application-oriented talent training system of the Department of Clothing Design. It effectively connects universities with the society, can meet the needs of my country's textile and clothing industry in keeping with the times, and continuously deliver high-quality innovative application-oriented talents to China's fashion industry. This is not only an affirmation of the Department of Clothing Design's achievements in the cross-integration teaching reform over the years, but also a recognition of the Department of Clothing Design's education level being recognized by its domestic peers over the years. Honors and achievements will surely promote the Department of Clothing Design to cultivate more excellent innovative application-oriented talents with innovative capabilities for China's textile and clothing industry, and will also play a positive public opinion-oriented role in enhancing the reputation of our school and expanding social influence.
