Chinese Guide Japan has officially allowed foreign tourists to enter the country since June 10, and people who want to visit Japan and have fun may be eager to try it. According to the latest epidemic prevention guidelines for foreign tourists recently released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Transport of Japan, tourists must purchase medical insurance and wear masks throughout the journey.
Japan has re-accepted foreigners for tourism purposes from this Friday (June 10). Its applicable targets include international tourists from the "blue area" area of 98 lowest-risk countries or regions, including tourists from mainland China and Hong Kong, China. Tour groups accompanied by tour guides are only allowed in the early stage of opening. It is reported that passengers do not need to be quarantined regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not when entering the country, but they must provide a negative test certificate for the new crown within 72 hours before departure.
Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also announced the epidemic prevention guidelines three days before Japan's opening of tourism (7th), requiring passengers to wear masks and disinfect throughout the journey, and must also purchase overseas travel insurance covering medical expenses. Four epidemic prevention regulations should be avoided during the trip. The
guide also mentioned that you don’t need to wear a mask when taking a bath, doing outdoor activities (such as canoe , climbing, picking fruits in orchards, etc.), and sightseeing in uncrowded attractions. Tour guides must grasp the footprints of the group members throughout the journey, accompany the tourists within two meters, and record all itineraries. In the guide, it is recommended that tour guides arrange fixed seats during transportation and dining. If the regulations are violated, it may not be allowed to participate in a tour group or continue the itinerary.
If a group member is diagnosed during the trip, the travel agency and the team leader should abide by the policies and guidelines of the local government where they are located, so that the confirmed person will leave the group immediately and go to the nearest medical institution for treatment. Passengers who are judged as close contacts with need to be quarantined, and other group members can continue their sightseeing itinerary. The tour guide should record the whereabouts of the passengers, including the facilities visited during the journey, the location of the transportation means, etc., in order to determine close contacts.
Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs SaitoTetsuo said at a press conference: "Based on travel agencies, the understanding and compliance of pointers (regulations) will help smoothly restart travel to Japan and expand reception later."
Japan has previously invited 50 tourists from the United States, Australia, Thailand and Singapore to carry out tourism testing projects to test epidemic prevention measures. One of the Thai tourists tested positive for COVID-19 while staying in Japan and was forced to suspend their travel plans.
According to statistics, Japan added 17,039 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia on June 7, lower than the same period in the previous week for 24 consecutive days. 26 new deaths on the same day. Among them, Tokyo had 1,800 new confirmed cases, with the increase of 25 consecutive days lower than the same period in the previous week.
In addition, the yen exchange rate continued to weaken, hitting a new low against the US dollar in 20 years, and once fell below the 135 mark, the lowest level since April 2002. Analysts say the decline in the yen exchange rate will help attract foreign tourists. It is also predicted that foreign tourists returning to Japan will spend a lot of money after two years, which will inject vitality into the Japanese economy in the post-epidemic era. Nomura Comprehensive Research Institute judged that opening up tourism in June can bring considerable benefits, which will reach 8.1 trillion yen in annual terms.
