In the process of fully implementing the rural revitalization strategy, many leaders of getting rich have emerged in various parts of our city. They are based on the reality of various places, learn while working, and use technology to lead the broad masses of farmers out of poverty and become rich. In recent years, with the promotion of blueberry planting technology, Chengjiang has become the main battlefield for the development of the blueberry industry in Yuxi, with a planting area of 9,500 mu and an output value of 350 million yuan. The person who checked the growth of blueberries in the field was Hong Benqiao, the first group of people in Yunnan to introduce blueberries to eat "crabs".
After failing the college entrance examination that year, Hong Benqiao's life took a turn. He did not fall into a slump because of this, but instead inspired the fighting spirit to change his destiny. After returning home to farm, Hongbenqiao aimed at increasing production and income, and tried to change the crop production model again and again.
After repeated practice, Hong Benqiao became a role model for other farmers to learn from. In 1984, Hong Benqiao, who was only 22 years old, was elected as the president of the cooperative by the masses. After taking office, he actively guided farmers to study science, use technology to increase grain yield and increase income, and use technology to lead the broad masses of farmers out of poverty and become rich.
Houlai, Hong Benqiao has successively explored a number of advanced practical technologies suitable for rural promotion and promoted and applied them in Chengjiang. In 1992, Hong Benqiao was awarded the title of "Rural Spark Leader" by the Provincial Science and Technology Commission and the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League. In 2004, the "100-acre blueberry introduction test demonstration" of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology was launched in Chengjiang, and Hong Benqiao also ushered in a major challenge in his life.
Hong Benqiao:
Since I am engaged in science and technology work, this project has been approved and it is impossible not to do it. First of all, we understand the habits of blueberries, actively do our work in terms of blueberries production, including increasing organic matter in acidic soil growth, etc. We have done it all. After three years of hard work, experts and scholars from home and abroad came to visit and study.
In 2008, Hong Benqiao was rated as an advanced worker in the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Association system by the Provincial Science and Technology Association. Due to the promotion and implementation of the blueberry planting project, Hongbenqiao was named the leader in rural science popularization and farmers by the China Association for Science and Technology in 2010.
A small blueberry fruit carries Hong Benqiao's 17 years of hard work. Now, while implementing the project, Hong Benqiao teaches the blueberry planting technology he has worked hard to develop to more blueberry growers without reservation.
