Travel is a time to relax and a good opportunity to understand different cultures. In newspapers, you often read the questions about , the Middle East, , and many countries. Have you ever thought about experiencing the local culture firsthand? Israel is the only non-Islamic country in the Middle East and the most international country in the Middle East. Locals generally speak fluent English. Although the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues and wars continue, most Israeli cities are very safe for outdoor travel enthusiasts.
Although this country is small, it has a very complex history, religion and culture. If you are interested in the Middle East issue, this journey will definitely bring you a deeper understanding.

Restaurant recommendation: Garger HaZahav
Address: Levinsky 30, Tel Aviv-Yafo
After a meal, I visited Jaffa, one of the world's oldest port cities. The history of human beings living here can be traced back to about 7500 BC. From 1920 to 1921, most of the Jews who were attacked by the Arabs fled to this port to settle down.
As early as 7500 BC, humans had already lived in the old city of Jaffa
There is a flea market on Yefet Street near Jaffa Ancient City, you may find some special gifts!
Market Opening Hours:
Sunday to Thursday – 10:00 – 18:00
Friday – 10:00 – 14:00
Select to visit at dusk, and you can enjoy the sunset at the port or by the sea
Accommodation Recommended: Lily Bloom Hotel Lily Bloom Hotel
Hotel was a bank used to be a Baohaus style, with a sense of space of 20s, and the hotel was just renovated two years ago. Small devices such as Designer chair, retro furniture, old suitcases and other small devices are extremely nostalgic.
Day 2 Wednesday:
Bauhaus Architectural City Tour Sarona Market Food Court Dinner
First go to the Bauhaus Center to see the exhibition, understand the most representative Bauhaus architecture and its history in Tel Aviv, and then start a full day of architectural walking tour! If you want to see the building first before you go to the center of Bauhaus, you can also check out this walking map.
Tel Aviv began to develop rapidly in the 1940s and 1950s, and the demand for new buildings was very high. At the same time, many Jewish architects who returned from studying in Europe were deeply influenced by the most popular internationalist style at that time, especially Bauhaus style , so the entire city was full of Bauhaus style architecture. Tel Aviv is the city with the most Bauhaus buildings in the world. The city's White City alone has more than 4,000 Bauhaus or modern-style buildings. This community is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites.
Tips: What is the Bauhaus style? This is a building that completely subverts the classical style and challenges the powerful. Function is preceded, any beautiful or powerful decoration is abandoned, which can be regarded as a representative of cheap, simple and practicality!
If you want to go as you like and don’t like to follow the map, in fact, this type of building can be seen everywhere in Tel Aviv!
Dinner is available at Sarona Market Food Court. Many Middle Eastern foods tend to be cold and may not be as good as your taste. This food court can solve your troubles! There are all kinds of dishes, and besides Israeli cuisine, you can also find pasta, pancakes, barbecue and even ramen.Outside the square is a giant shopping area, each brand occupying a small bungalow, which is different from the general experience of shopping malls.
In addition to many foods, there are many local and international brands of stores in the mall
Day 3 Thursday:
Go to the holy city of Jerusalem for lunch. Visit the ancient city
Take bus 480 or 405 to Jerusalem. The journey takes about 50 minutes and the fare is about 16 ILS.
Go to the market to buy some fresh fruits and go back to the restaurant to taste
After getting off the bus, if you don’t have much luggage, you can go directly to Mahane Yehuda Market. In addition to selling fresh ingredients, the market also has small restaurants, bakeries, dessert shops, snack shops, juice shops and fruit shops with many dishes. If you are hungry, you can have lunch here. If you have too much luggage, you can go to the hotel to store your luggage, and then take the light rail that only started operating in 2011 to return to the market.
light rail is 5.9 ILS per trip, you can also choose to purchase full-day tickets with 13.5 ILS.
After lunch, you can start exploring the historical city of Jerusalem after you recover.
The ancient city is divided into four areas: Jewish district, Christian district, Muslim district, and Armenian district.
Golden Ding Mosque below is Judaism Holy Land Wailing Wall . The two major religions appear in the same picture, forming a strong contrast.
Holy sites of more than 1000 religions are located in Jerusalem, and are used as the church of the Holy Sepulchre (also known as Western Wall) and the Temple Mount , the Muslim Dome Mosque and the Al-Aqsa Mosque , as well as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Path of the Christians. Therefore, Jerusalem's culture, history and people's life patterns are very diverse and mixed.
Wailing Wall is a holy place for Jews
Tips: The ancient city is a tourist area, and some restaurants in the room are not honest and only when checking out, they said that the price is US dollars! If the menu does not indicate that it is Shekel currency (i.e. ILS, the currency symbol is ₪), then remember to ask clearly before ordering the dishes.
It is best to end the trip early and go back to the hotel to rest, because the next day you will get up at 3 am and set off early in the morning for the sunrise trip!
Accommodation recommendation: Jerusalem Puste Hostel The Post Hostel
The Post Hostel, as the name implies, is the postal theme
From the English name of the hostel, you may also guess that the hostel is related to the postal service. The Central Post Office of Jerusalem was built between 1934 and 38. It combines internationalist architecture with all-Jerusalem architectural style. The Central Post Office's office still has offices in this building. The hostel retains a large number of interior walls, floors and ceilings of the original building. In addition to being accommodation, it is also a gate to history that once returned to the past.
Day 4 Friday:
Masada watches sunrise, Ngodi Oasis National Park, Dead Sea floats, welcomes the Sabbath
Masada (Masada) was once a military fortress. It is said that in 73 AD, the Jews guarding Masada were defeated by the Roman army's attack. Driven by the determination to become a prisoner of the Romans, 960 Jews decided to commit suicide collectively. Because of this sad story, Masada symbolizes the determination of the Jews to establish their independence and nation.
Although there are also tour groups that set off later, climbing in the dark can make you feel the Jews' mood of escaping back then. Watching the rising sun slowly rise on the other side of Jordan will bring you a very deep experience and touch. Climbing Masada, in addition to enjoying the distant scenery, you might as well observe the cliffs under the fortress carefully. If you are lucky, you will see wild goats (ibex) resting or walking on the cliff!
Going up the mountain in the dark is to appreciate the moment when the rising sun is
Tips: Each section of the journey up and down is about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Although the weather is cold in the early morning, the mountain road is quite steep and slanted, so it will quickly warm up. It is recommended to wear a warm and windproof jacket, but it is also convenient to take off your coat along the way.
After seeing the sunrise and visiting Masada, I went down the mountain and returned to the tourist bus and set out for the Oasis National Park of Ein Gedi. The next stop of
is also the last itinerary of this day group: go to Dead Sea to experience floating. The Dead Sea has extremely high salt content and can easily float on the water even if you can't swim.Basically, even if you try hard, you can't sink! Get a book (the better way is of course to get a newspaper or something, don’t worry about getting wet in your beloved book), lie lazily in the sea and put on a classic Dead Sea pose and visit here. After that, you can return to the shallow water, stuff your hands into the sand and mud, dig out the legendary Dead Sea mud and apply it to your body. Apply all over your body, dry it on a beach chair and then rinse it with skin care effects.
You must have seen this most classic Dead Sea photo pose!
The Dead Sea coastline decreases every year, that is, the Dead Sea range is shrinking every year. There are many reasons for the loss of seawater. If the solution is not found as early as possible, the Dead Sea may even disappear! On the way to the Dead Sea, you will see traces of water receding.
The previously covered area of seawater has now become a dry land
If you are participating in a local tour group, you will usually take you to a privately operated beach, which will provide a bath room so that you can rush to the air immediately after you have enough fun. Tour groups usually provide towels, just in case you can bring hotel towels; however, you need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo.
Tips: Although you need to wear a swimsuit to expose your legs, remember to remember to do not shave at least three days ago! Otherwise, the sea water with extremely high salt and mineral content will make you feel tingling in your skin. Similarly, please do not splash water on others, the water in the Dead Sea is very dazzling.
About 1:00 pm, your tourist bus will return to Jerusalem. Hurry up and go for lunch and prepare dinner ingredients! Friday evening to Saturday evening is the Sabbath for the Jews. Most shops will be closed, and many shops and restaurants will be closed one after another at 3 and 4 pm on Friday. Although not all stores will close on Sabbath, there are very few stores in Jerusalem that do business as usual. If you don’t want to be hungry or eat something you don’t like, you need to be prepared.
Tips: Why does the Sabbath start not in the morning, but in the evening? The Jewish calendar is calculated based on sunset. The moment of sunset represents a new day, so the Sabbath also begins at the moment of sunset and ends before sunset the next day.
Day 5 Saturday:
Go back and forth today Palestine Bethlehem One Day Tour
Since the Sabbath has not yet ended, leave Israel today and head for Palestine. In the morning, I arrived at the long-distance bus station next to the Damascus Gate and took bus No. 231 to and from Bethlehem, which took about 45 minutes to and from Bethlehem. The fare is about 7 ILS. Bus 231 is operated by Arabs and therefore will also operate as usual on Sabbath.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has a very long and complex history. If you are interested in the current situation of the two countries, you can participate in a tour group spontaneously organized by locals. The local tour guide will even take you into the refugee camp to visit and tell history.
Israeli army monitors 24 hours a day in the guard tower
Tips: Unlike the concept that refugees we generally know are foreigners, refugee camps in Palestinian territory are actually Palestinians. They were displaced because their homes were occupied by the Israeli army and were forced to leave their homes and move to other cities to live.
Walking along the wall, you will see a lot of graffiti, including the works of famous graffiti artists, and of course the most famous one is Banksy. The two little angels in this work by Banksy try to pull the wall apart
The walking tour ends next to The Walled Off Hotel, opened by the famous graffiti artist Banksy. There is a small museum in the hotel that uses pictures, historical objects and installation art to tell the history of the conflict between the two countries. The various stories you hear from the tour guide may make you have a lot of questions, and this museum just provides you with the answers.
Banksy hopes to provide a window of dialogue for the two countries through this hotel. The process of preparing this hotel was very secret, and no news was revealed to any media until it opened.
Tips: The checkpoint staff between Israel and Palestine will not stamp the passenger's passport, so you don't have to worry about being blocked at the Israeli airport checkpoint because you have visited Palestine.
Day 6 Sunday:
Return to China
Take bus No. 485 to the airport. The journey takes about 50 minutes and the fare is about 16 ILS.
Tips: If you choose to return on other days, remember to avoid going to the airport on Sabbath. Apart from shop rest, buses and other public transport will not operate on the Sabbath. Passengers returning on the Sabbath can only take a taxi to the airport.
