Zhu Lilun, former mayor of New Taipei and former Taoyuan County Mayor, returned to Taoyuan on the 17th and first visited the tea production and sales team in Guishan District, then went to Guanyin Temple in Shoushanyan to burn incense, and also had lunch with his good friends.
Zhu Lilun said in an interview that today is not a trip to the countryside, Guishan is where he has lived for 8 years. He emphasized that this is not his territory, he just came back to see his old friends and old neighbors.
Asked reporters that former legislative body head Wang Jinping will announce his candidacy for Taiwan's leader in the near future, whether there is a possibility of cooperation between the two sides in the future. In response, Zhu Lilun said that the Kuomintang welcomes everyone who wants to participate in the election of leaders or "legislators" in Taiwan. Everyone can express their opinions and select the best and most appropriate candidates for the Kuomintang through democratic mechanisms.
Regarding the news that former Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou and Kuomintang Chairman Wu Dun-yi intend to visit the mainland when the time is right, Zhu Lilun said that he strongly agrees that including Ma Ying-jeou, Wu Dun-yi or the heads of various counties and cities can continue to communicate between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. After all, cross-strait relations are very important. Whether it is the Kuomintang or other political parties, they should uphold this position so that the two sides can be more peaceful.
