Happiness and joy, my socially run high school years

I would like to dedicate this article to my alma mater, Shanxi Province, Xinxian District, Xinxian Caozhang People's Commune, Wuqi High School

Xue Xixiang

In the northeast of Xinding Basin, Shanxi Province, there is a township - the Hutuo River is surrounded by the northeast, bordering the river and bordering the Xinjin Highway of Wubao Expressway. In the early years, there was a saying of "the Great Wilderness of Xinzhou" and it was Caozhang Township, Xinfu District, Xinzhou City. In 1956, Shanxi Province built a state-owned Xinding Farm here to open land and farm and transform nature. In addition, through the construction of basic farmland water conservancy in the 1960s and 1970s, the region changed its early east: "Spring is white and summer is watery." In the west: "A gust of wind in spring, and yellow sand is rolling all over the ground." It became the back garden of Xinzhou City today: "The land is fertile, the water is beautiful, the grains are fragrant, and the back garden of Xinzhou City." This is my hometown. More than 40 years ago, I lived and studied on this land. Speaking of study, what is unforgettable is my high school years!

In the 1960s and 1970s, our township was called the Caozhang People's Commune of Xinxian County, Xinxian Prefecture, and twice held high school-level schools. The first time was Caozhang People's Commune Agricultural Middle School from the late 1960s to early 1970s, and its main task was to cultivate applied talents for local rural areas. Due to the once chaotic teaching order in the education sector caused by the "Cultural Revolution", it slowly recovered from 1971. In 1973, the country began to focus on education in all aspects. Our county has established several new county-run high schools, and Yijing Middle School, located in the northeast of the county, is one of them. It mainly serves the northeastern part of the county. The last class of students of Cao Zhang Agricultural Middle School collectively transferred to Yijing High School in 1973 when they were in their second year of high school, so Cao Zhang Agricultural Middle School became history. Since 1973, the corresponding high school for junior high school graduates in our commune is Yijing High School. A few years later, in order to popularize high schools, the country had to run a high school in larger communes in rural areas. Therefore, in 1975, our commune established another high school so that junior high school graduates in our commune could go to high school at their doorstep. The full name of this high school is: "Cao Zhang People's Commune May 7 High School." Why is the word "May 7" in it? It is to run schools in accordance with the spirit of Chairman Mao’s “Fifth 7” instructions, and implement: “Open the door to run schools, students not only need to learn literature, but also need to learn to work, agriculture, and military..." Of course, rural schools focus on learning agriculture! The school building of the students who entered the school in 1975 was not yet built, so they temporarily borrowed the house of the brigade headquarters in our village (Linghuzhuang) as the school building. Students study while participating in school building work, which is also a concrete manifestation of opening the school. In 1976, the school was basically built and teachers and students lived in the new school. I was admitted to the school in the spring of 1977, why do I say I take the exam? Because the two classes before our class recommended admission, mainly political review, while we recommend taking the cultural course exam and are mainly admitted based on cultural scores. It is no exaggeration to say that our high school students were "hot and professional". Our socially run high school became a junior high school after sending off its last high school graduate in 1981.

When I entered high school, it was the early spring when everything was revived and full of infinite hope. The day of the college entrance examination was the ten-mile and vibrant summer in our hometown. The arrival of the admission letter was the golden autumn full of harvest. I completed the high school journey in two and a half years. Youth is colorful, but in the past two and a half years, my youth is the most brilliant and colorful. The summer of 1979 reached its most glorious moment.

My social high school weaved a beautiful and innocent memory for me. It is like a gem of life, dazzling, like the summer flowers in life, gorgeous and fragrant, like the fire in life, with endless passion. The high school experience seems ordinary, but it is deeply imprinted in my mind and becomes the most beautiful and true nature of my life. I will remember these days for my whole life.

Here we have worked hard for a beautiful ideal. For me, in addition to having beautiful ideals and lofty ambitions, the motivation for struggle is also the "seed of self-confidence" buried deep in my heart. Even those days were bitter, they became endless aftertaste.Hard days should be the most precious gift you give us.

We are just a passerby here, only passing a trace in every corner. It may be smoothed by the years, but you will be rooted in our hearts and become the eternal in your students' hearts. Today I use words to present these eternal times! In this way, I pay tribute to my eternal spiritual home - my social high school!

1. Confidence starts here

The Spring Festival in 1977 just passed, about the seventh and eighth day of the first lunar month, and most people are still immersed in a happy and casual festive atmosphere. However, nearly 300 junior high school students who had just graduated before the Spring Festival gathered at the commune high school west of Daijun Village in the middle of the commune to take the enrollment examination. The whole process is solemn and sacred. The invigilator does the exam work seriously, meticulously and devoutly like a religious believer. However, we smiled before and after the exam, without any nervousness. Why is this? It is difficult for children today to understand! Because we didn’t know the importance of this kind of exam at that time! In early 1977, the "Proletarian Cultural Revolution" that lasted for ten years had just ended. The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China had not been held yet, and reform and opening up had not started. At that time, the country's social life was actually similar to those in the years before 1977, especially in schools. The enrollment cultural course exam we took should be a rare and valuable existence in the education industry in more than ten years. In the previous years, high school enrollment was purely recommended except for the cultural courses taken in 1973, and cultural courses were not examined, and political review was the main focus. Although we are not nervous, this is the first time we have experienced this formal exam, so we answered the paper very seriously. For me, the feeling of this exam was fresh, exciting and exciting. Needless to say, just talk about excitement and excitement! I was quite diligent in my studies when I was in junior high school. Although the school did not organize formal exams at that time, I still had homework and I was still one of the students who could do homework. There were three exams in total, including: one in Chinese and politics; one in mathematics; one in physics and chemistry. At that time, there were "sciences"

and "library arts". It seems that the current college entrance examination "sciences" and "library arts" are not new inventions! Since the test questions are indeed not difficult and my foundation is also good, the test paper was answered quite smoothly. In this way, I felt stimulating and excited at that time!

About the sixteenth and seventh day of the first lunar month, more than 200 students who were admitted came to the school to register for school. There was a scene during the registration period that I was unforgettable and unforgettable for my life, and in a sense it affected my life. A few of us good friends came to the school together. The excitement was so hard to express at that time. It was a high school! At that time, there were few universities and not many enrollment, and even fewer enrollment in rural areas. It was recommended to enroll, and there was no cultural examination. The college entrance examination system was only resumed at the end of 1977, so children of our age did not know about the college entrance examination at that time. The concept of university is basically not available among middle school students, and high school is the highest institution of learning in our minds. To be able to enter high school, the excitement of a fourteen-year-old boy at that time was self-evident. A few of our classmates entered the campus and saw a row of large red sheets of paper pasted on the exterior walls of the classroom. There were many teenagers about the same size as us standing below. They should be classmates! When we approached, we found that the names were written on it. I knew it as soon as I heard from the students who came early. This is the class division list. This is the first time I have seen a real-life list of classes. I also hurriedly came to the crowd to look for my name, but because I was anxious and didn't find it in time, I thought I didn't have me? I was notified to report! I was still muttering something because I was anxious. At this moment, I suddenly heard a familiar voice calling my name and saying, "Look at the upper left corner of the Squad 7 list!" I quickly looked up and saw my name in the first position in the upper left corner. The one who called my name was my Chinese teacher Guo in the first grade of junior high school. He was transferred here to work in the second grade of junior high school. Then I walked up to Teacher Guo, who called my name again and said, "Excellent!" Our first year of high school had four classes, namely: Class 5, 6, 7 and 8. Because I had good results in the entrance examination and was encouraged by Teacher Guo on the spot, a "seed of confidence" has been buried deeply in my heart.

2. Studying agricultural labor

I have been in high school for the past two and a half years, and I happened to go through the entire process of the school from "opening the door to running schools" to "opening the door to running schools behind closed doors". In the first year of high school, I went to "study outside the door" mainly to learn about agriculture. We participated in the school-run farm, Xinding Farm and Ranch work and study, and production team support for agriculture. There is a school-run farm two kilometers southwest of the school. We carry baskets to deliver fertilizer in spring; we carry hoes to weeds in summer; and harvest in autumn. The fertilizers include manure in the school toilet and soil, and the green manure we use to ferment in summer. A student of fifteen or sixteen years old has to walk two kilometers on a feces load, and only those who have experienced it personally will know the taste. At that time, we truly realized what it means to "hard your mind and your mind and your muscles and bones"! The harvest of autumn, what impressed me the most was the harvest of castor. After the castor fruit matures, there is a needle-like protective layer on the surface. At that time, we didn’t have gloves, so we picked them with our hands, and the pain was often unbearable. In winter, the classroom and dormitory are made of coal cakes, which are squares cast by mixing coal noodles and soil. This requires us to process them before winter comes. Processing coal cakes is a mud job, and it is both tiring and dirty when it is done. Because it is a new campus, there are many small saplings planted, and watering trees like this is the work we often need to do! Watering the school vegetable garden, washing manure from the toilet and fertilizing the vegetable garden, etc. are also the content of our learning to farm. However, compared with the students in the previous two classes, the working time is much shorter, so we still focus on learning. Because they have the labor of establishing schools, they work for a long time and often. We resumed the college entrance examination when we entered the school almost one year, so when we reached the second year of high school, we really focused on learning. Although I also participate in labor, it is also necessary. The school-run farm also tries to plant some crops that save time, so as to reduce students' working time; work-study and study-study also shortens time; agricultural support labor is completely cancelled! As the semester of the college entrance examination approached, we were preparing for the exam nervously, and "opening the door to run schools" officially withdrew from the historical stage of my high school.

Later I thought about the issue of "opening the door to run schools". As a socially run high school, on the one hand, it is necessary to learn farmers by cultivating applied talents in the local rural areas; on the other hand, the most important thing is that the school’s funds are insufficient, and it is compensated by the income from school-run farms, work-study and other income. At that time, the school basically did not charge tuition fees. I remember that I only paid six yuan when I first entered the school year of high school, which already included tuition and book fees. Later, not only did I not pay tuition fees again, but I also enjoyed a few scholarships! Now that we think about it, our school and teachers tried to make students go to this high school without spending money or less. Because they know very well that if the school fee is high, many children will not be able to go to this high school. They are very clear about the importance of cultivating talents in the country, family and individuals! Whenever I think of this, I sincerely thank my high school and teachers.

3. The small oil light

In the 1960s and 1970s, due to the shortage of electricity supply, electricity was often limited at night during peak electricity use, especially in rural areas. It is common for our school to run out of electricity from 7:00 to 10:00 in the evening. This time period is the time for evening self-study, so most students are preparing a small oil lamp. Most of these lamps are made of using a small ink bottle to drill a small hole in the bottle cap, then insert a thin tube made of iron, and then put cotton thread into the tube. Such items can only be seen in Folk Museums now. But back then, that was our must-have! Because in addition to dealing with power outages during evening self-study periods, we also have to continue learning lighting after the lights are turned off at 11 o'clock in the evening! At that time, diligent students generally had to learn until midnight, which we called "Driving the night car".In fact, this is not good, because it is often prone to doze off during class the next day, especially in summer afternoons. But in order to make the most of the time, the students! This shows how hard work and hard work are! Come back and talk about the oil lamp! At that time, except for the school provided by the dormitory, the kerosene needed to solve the problem of classroom use by yourself. At that time, kerosene was also supplied in regular quantities in the store, so the students were often not enough. what to do? There are two ways to solve the problem. One is that several students share a cup, so that the students who are far away will have a little light; the other is that some students can find diesel and barely use it. At that time, there were many tractors and diesel engines used in rural areas. Diesel smoke is large, and the smokey face and nose are often black. I am very lucky that the person in charge of our school’s general affairs office is my uncle and uncle. He is responsible for distributing kerosene to the dormitory, so I have sufficient kerosene. Whenever I think of this, I feel that my high school has given me too much; whenever I think of the support my uncle gave me, I often can't help but burst into tears.

If young people can see the scene of studying hard under the oil lamp, they may think that the conditions are too simple or even think that they are shabby, but for us, that small oil lamp is a lighthouse that moves towards ideals. The light of the little oil is like the stars in the sky, bringing light and hope to us who are trekking on the night road, and also bringing a hint of warmth to our hearts. For many years, the scene of our classmates studying hard under the oil lamp is the most beautiful in my memory!

4. Different exams

Some people say: The candidates from 1977 to 1979 were the most diligent and hardworking candidates in the history of the college entrance examination. At that time, no one suspected that "knowledge changes destiny" and no one believed in the "the theory of "the uselessness of reading". It is also because it is hard-won, so it cherishes it very much. I think that the teachers at that time were the most diligent and hardworking, and the most selfless. Their diligence is reflected in many aspects, such as organizing exams. At that time, every time we had major exams, such as mid-term, final, college entrance examination training, college entrance examination simulation, etc., we often adopted a test method called "point melon-style". What is the "melon-spot style"? It is to concentrate all students in the playground, arrange them and sit down, and try to widen the distance between adjacent students. The teachers walked around the playground and patrolled, and the teachers would not sit during the entire exam. The purpose of adopting this test method is self-evident. This shows how attentive and responsible our teachers are! If there were modern drones to take aerial photos of the exam scene at that time, it would definitely be very shocking, spectacular and beautiful. Due to strict discipline examinations, it not only reflects the real learning situation of each student, but also further promotes students' hard work.

Later, whenever I think of our exams at that time, I sincerely thank my teachers for their strictness towards us!

5. Precious review materials

When I was in high school, the college entrance examination review materials I used were basically compiled and printed by our teachers themselves, and they bought very few.

After the teacher has written it, the teacher or the students who have written it well will carve wax plates on the wax paper with steel plates and stencils, and then print them out one by one with a hand-pushing mimeographer. Because in order to save the paper, the strokes engraved by the iron pen are relatively thin, and the number of printed sheets will appear wrinkles, so the printed materials will have difficulty reading some pages. When the teachers lack reference materials and are simple in printing equipment, it is not easy to compile a large amount of review materials for us. However, office supplies such as steel plates and stylus may have become cultural relics now. Finally, the school bought back a batch of college entrance examination review materials in the second semester of the second year of high school. There are a large number of Chinese materials, and you can use one copy. However, the number of mathematics, physics and chemistry is insufficient and cannot meet the three subjects of manpower. What should I do? Who should I send it to? Teachers can only adopt the most primitive method of pursuing fairness - the lottery method. The three subjects are drawn separately, and each student draws three lottery, and each lottery has the word "yes" or "no" written on it. In this way, most students have at least one subject information, and some students who are not lucky and have not drawn a subject will be distributed to one copy in coordination. I was "lucky" to get three subjects.

This incident makes today's students seem incredible. Now that information is flying everywhere, I still have to worry about not being able to buy it. However, our college entrance examination was just resumed in that era, with large demand, few writers, and insufficient printing capabilities in printing factories, so this phenomenon is not surprising. Fortunately, the teachers often print some materials for us so that our college entrance examination review will not be affected. In addition, the lack of information also has its benefits. Every student cherishes this book very much and studies it carefully and repeatedly. I remember that in addition to listening carefully to the teacher's explanation in class, the students studied hard, studied carefully, and deeply understood the basic knowledge and summarized problem-solving methods and techniques in the materials, studied the practice of example questions, and meticulously did every exercise question on the materials, especially comprehensive questions. I often see students gathering together to discuss problems, and when they come up with a difficult problem, they dance excitedly. Now I am still moved when I think of the learning attitude and spirit of my classmates at that time!

6. Noodle soup on the teacher’s stove

In the years we were in school, the school did not set up a canteen to cook and sell food for students, nor did it have a tea stove. But there is a canteen where students can steam rice. On-campus students go home after school every Saturday afternoon, return to school before evening study on Sundays, and bring three days of cooked food; on Wednesday afternoon, they go home to pick up three days of cooked food, and arrive at school early the next morning to attend morning class. At that time, I usually brought corn flour steamed buns, and only after the New Year and the Festival could I bring some steamed buns, flower rolls, etc. At that time, the production team was still sharing the food. Because we grow a small amount of wheat in our hometown, each person can be divided into 60 kilograms when the weather is good, and 30 kilograms when the weather is bad, so we rarely eat fine grains. I remember that every time I celebrate a festival, such as Dragon Boat Festival, July 15th, and after steaming steamed buns and flower rolls at home, the whole family only had one meal, and my mother brought me to school. Every time I had a bun or flower roll and a steamed bun for each meal, I would usually have a "good life" for a week. This is a very good interpretation of the greatness of maternal love! It is also the strongest and most practical support my family has given me when I was in high school. So I didn’t study my high school alone, and my success in the college entrance examination was not my credit! Behind me are my family, teachers and classmates who work together and work together. At school, we deliver the food we want to eat to the cafeteria at the prescribed time and put it in a cage to steam it. Every time I go to dinner, more than a dozen large cages are placed in the yard in front of the cafeteria. The students rushed up to surround me and looked for their lunch boxes. The scene, now I feel very spectacular when I think about it. That should be a unique scenic spot for our high schools in that era! Some students have similar lunch boxes and meals, and they often get the wrong ones. The food we bring is usually placed in a cloth bag and hung on the dormitory wall. It is fine in winter, but in summer, the food can easily deteriorate and sometimes becomes moldy, and even if it is broken apart, it can be wired. You have to eat that, otherwise you will go hungry because everyone is metered and there is no extra to help others! If I really can’t eat, I can only go hungry! Therefore, the feeling of "hungry and empty body" is also worth it. The dish is holding a large bottle with pickles. The water I drink is steamer water, to be precise, the water mixed with steamer water and cold water. Why do I say that? Because the cafeteria only has two large pots for steaming rice, there are only two pots of water for steaming the pot. If there is insufficient boiling water, you can only scoop out part of the steamer and put it in the water jar next to it, and then add cold water to the pot. At this time, the students were ready to eat and drink water, and it was too late to continue boiling the water. The soup for cooking noodles on the teacher’s stove is pre-made water, so teachers often invite students to come in and scoop bowls of noodles soup. Now I feel a little sad when talking about this, but it was a very happy thing for us to drink a bowl of noodle soup from the teacher’s stove. What is happiness? It means that when you are thirsty, you can drink a bowl of water, even cold water... At that time, we drank a mix of steamer water and cold water on the student stove, and at least the noodle soup is boiling water. If you are lucky, you will be even happier. So it is a very happy thing to drink the teacher's noodle soup. In addition, the teacher invites you to drink noodle soup, which is also a kind of care for you! After all, there is not much noodle soup! So it was a normal emotional experience to feel happy at that time!

7. The fragrance of plum blossoms after the bitter frost

When I was a child, the winter seemed to be colder than now, especially in high school. That year, most rural middle school students had the most difficult winter in winter, and we were! Our dormitory is just a fire kang, with bricks on the edges of the kang, filled with soil, laying a layer of bricks on it, and then laying wheat straw. Such a bed is incomparable to wood, and even more so than passing a kang! It's very cold to sleep in winter! The windows are not filled with glass, but are covered with paper. Over time, it is inevitable that they will be damaged, causing the cold wind and cold air to flow straight in. The heating equipment is an iron stove and a suction cylinder. Because the fuel is coal cake, the calorie is not large and the amount is insufficient, so you can imagine the temperature of the dormitory. The kang is more than six meters long, with more than a dozen people sleeping, and an average of about two feet wide for each person. Although it is not crowded after going to bed, the adjacent students need to work together when opening and stacking the quilt. Otherwise, the work may not be completed because some of the quilts of the adjacent students overlap each other. What I worry most is when I start to sleep and get up. It’s cold on both ends, one end is the cold when I enter the quilt, and the other end is the cold when I leave the quilt. I get up at six o’clock in the morning in winter. It’s cold. Until now, I feel so chilling when I think about it. Because at that time, my mentor, Teacher Liu Qiaonian, often used words to inspire us: "If you don't go through the bitterness of the ice, you will get the fragrance of the plum blossoms." So despite the pain in the body, my heart is still full of hope, and I feel that I am still happy in my study and life. Because the dormitory has insufficient fuel for fire-making, we have also stole coal cakes. One night, while the classmates and teachers in other dormitories were sleeping, all of our dormitories went out and stole some coal cakes to the place where the coal cakes were placed in the school. At that time, although the problem of shortage of fuel in the dormitory was solved, it left a shadow in my heart and became a bad scene in my high school memory. I always think that some teachers know about our behavior, but they don’t pursue it because they feel sorry for us for being cold and cold! Whenever I think of this, I feel hot and my eyes are moist. I am grateful to my broad-minded teachers. Another cold source is the desk table in the classroom. Their panels are all cement boards. It's okay in summer, but it's very cold in winter, so each of our classmates has a seat cushion. I have a hairy sheepskin cushion, and newspapers are laid on the desktop. Such equipment basically solves the problem of cold seats. These sufferings have further stimulated our enthusiasm for hard study and tempered our will. The extraordinary performance and outstanding achievements of students in their future life should be related to their persistent efforts in studying hard in such a difficult environment!

8. The teacher’s kindness is unforgettable

When I was in high school, all the teachers who worked in our school at that time, whether they taught me directly or not; whether they were from my grade or other grades, they can be called my mentor. Because at that time they all paid special attention to, cared for and cared for me! If it weren't for my social high school and my high school mentors, there would be no "me of a senior middle school mathematics teacher" today, and it might be another me. Unforgettable to remember by alma mater! Unforgettable to merit! For decades, the beautiful memories of teachers such as Xue Xiangbao, Liu Zhongyi, Liu Qiaonian, Liu Manjin and Wang Haiyun have often emerged in my mind.

Whenever I recall the summer when the 1979 college entrance examination results were announced, I will think of Teacher Xue Xiangbao! Because that day, Teacher Xue personally brought the good news of my success in the college entrance examination to my home! Teacher Xue is our principal, and we are in the same village. He speaks slowly and humorously.Although majestic, it still gives people a kind feeling. Many of my things about going to school and work are related to Teacher Xue! For example: Through him, I learned in advance that he had sent the admission letter to my home by himself, etc. In particular, when we were at school, the school held four competitions for composition, mathematics, physics and chemistry. Among them, mathematics and science also undertake the task of selecting contestants for the county competition. I was fortunate to be among the top scorers in mathematics, physics and chemistry, and I was commended by the school. The whole school held a meeting to give awards, and the certificates and prizes were given to me by Teacher Xue! At that time, the prize was a red flag book, the type with three red flags printed on the skin, but it was different from the ordinary red flag book! Because it is stamped with a school seal and the words "a prize" are written on it. I usually don’t want to use such a book immediately because it is a symbol of honor and usually needs to be treasured for a period of time. In 1978, I was a model student attending the commune, and it was also selected by Teacher Xue. In 1985, I planned to transfer from Pianguan County to Xinzhou. At that time, Teacher Xue, who was already working in the Propaganda Department of the Xinzhou (now called Xinfu District) Committee, personally took me to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Education Bureau, and the Education Bureau immediately agreed to my transfer back. Teacher Xue always treats his students with enthusiasm. Many of his students have experienced it in terms of identifying talents, loving talents, cultivating talents, and promoting talents.

Whenever I educate students, I say, "External factors are the conditions for change, and internal factors are the basis for change." I think of Teacher Liu Zhongyi in high school. Teacher Liu teaches us politics and also serves as the director of teaching. He graduated from Inner Mongolia University in his early years from and is an authority in high school politics in Xinxian District. After we graduated, Teacher Liu was transferred to Xinxian No. 2 Middle School. Although he is a native of us, he speaks fluent Mandarin, speaks fast, loud voice, and has strong penetration. Every word can be heard clearly. He is knowledgeable and has a simple and easy-to-understand lecture. The explanation of terms for philosophy and political economy, short answer questions, essay questions, case analysis questions, etc., which we feel boring, make Teacher Liu interesting as soon as he lectures, making us very interested, not only know how to be quick, but also remember them firmly. What impressed me the most was the sprint stage of the college entrance examination. Students from all four classes of our grade sat in the school in front of the classroom, setting up a small blackboard in front to listen to Teacher Liu explaining the answering skills and strengthening key knowledge. At that time, we had no stairs classrooms, but there were young trees full of endless hope around us; there was no auditorium, but there was a blue sky with white clouds above our heads; there was no big screen, but the teacher in front of us said with sincerity that the scenes of students listening carefully were the most beautiful scenes.

Whenever I teach "Three-dimensional Geometry", I often think of my high school mathematics teacher, Mr. Liu Qiaonian. Teacher Liu is also my first-year high school teacher. I was specially trained and cared for by Teacher Liu in my high school study and later in my work. As soon as I entered high school, I was in Class 7 led by Teacher Liu. I was the only member of the new League in the class that year and the first target of development since the establishment of Class 7. Teacher Liu usually has very strict requirements on all aspects of me. For example, if there is an error in math homework, he must analyze whether my concept is unclear or other reasons. If the concept is unclear, it will help me deeply understand the concept and master it thoroughly, because concepts are the foundation of the entire discipline, and only when the foundation is stable will there be fewer problems. The characteristics of Teacher Liu's class are: 1. The blackboard is written in a organized and clear manner, the characters are neat, beautiful and relatively large, and it is easy for students in the back row to see clearly. 2. Be careful and practice more. Teacher Liu’s class can be explained in the classroom within fifteen minutes so that the students can understand the content, and then practice. Every time I take Teacher Liu’s class, I feel: it’s relaxed and pleasant, and time passes so quickly. Teacher Liu's "Three-dimensional Geometry" is very well-written. First of all, the graphics are accurate and clear, so that students can see it at a glance, thereby increasing their interest in learning. Talking about knowledge and methods concisely and can give students more opportunities and time to think independently. After I became a teacher, "Three-dimensional Geometry" was the most handy to teach, which should be a kind of inheritance! After we graduated, Teacher Liu was transferred to the Children's School of Labor Reform Farm in Jiecun, Shanxi Province.

The reason for the transfer was: at that time, Xinzhou Normal University had to transfer an old college student who graduated in the early years to teach from this school. The condition for this school was to transfer an outstanding teacher from the Xinxian area at that time, and Teacher Liu was selected. Later, Teacher Liu became the principal of the school. In 1985, when I was transferred from Pianguan County to Teacher Liu's school, the farm leader issued me a transfer letter without my original unit's transfer letter. From this incident, we can see the importance and trust of Teacher Liu!

"The north wind blows the ground and the white grass breaks, and snow falls in August. Suddenly, like a spring breeze comes, thousands of pear blossoms bloom." Whenever I hear or see such beautiful poems, I will think of my high school Chinese teacher, Teacher Liu Manjin, who leads us to swim in the beautiful and magical sea of Chinese language and characters. When we were in the second year of high school, we had separate classes in the fast and slow classes. I entered the fast class, namely Class 5, and Teacher Liu was our class teacher. Teacher Liu speaks slowly and has a long tail sound. When reading the text aloud, we always intoxicate it and have endless aftertaste. For example, I read aloud "Worry about the world before worrying, and then enjoy the world after joy." That wonderful feeling seems to be still lingering in my ears now. When Teacher Liu explains the text, we always feel like we are there. He also attaches great importance to Chinese memory and often asks us to go to the office to recite. If I can still remember some poems and songs, I have to thank Teacher Liu. In addition, Teacher Liu also encouraged us to read more. Under his guidance, I read a lot of literary works in high school. There were two sources of books I read at that time: one was that my uncle's office happened to be a small library; the other was that the classmates borrowed each other. For example, "Xiao Erhei's Marriage" was lent to me by Qi Yuchun's literary magazines ordered by his father in middle school! I remember it was "Shanxi Literature", with a total of twelve books, and they were bound together. I am very moved when talking about this matter. Yuchun's father, Teacher Qi Peilin, is also a famous Chinese teacher in our hometown middle school. Two years after we graduated, Teacher Liu became the principal of another school in our commune.

The youngest among my mentors is the physics teacher Wang Haiyun. When he taught us, he was only twenty-five or twenty-six years old. Teacher Wang’s lectures are sonorous, ups and downs, clear and energetic, so we never dozed off in his class! Every sentence and every word can be heard clearly. Many explanations of physical phenomena are difficult to understand, but it seems easy to understand after explanation by Teacher Wang! So we generally understand his class very well. Teacher Wang’s age is not very different from us. I have always felt that we are both teachers and friends. At that time, the school was truly responsible for students' learning. When I went to the county to participate in the physics competition, it was led by Teacher Wang himself, and the mathematics competition was led by Teacher Liu Qiaonian, and the school also gave students business trip subsidies. Maybe the subsidy I mentioned is not believed now, but this is indeed true. A few years after we graduated, Teacher Wang was transferred to Xinzhou No. 1 Middle School to work.

My dear teachers were "celebrities" in our hometown back then. They are knowledgeable, cultured, and sentimental; they will not criticize students easily, but will lead us with their personal charm and rules. They are real teachers. They dedicated their career golden season to this hot land of their hometown. If it weren't for their dedication and perseverance, most of us would have been a junior high school graduate. It is the thousands of "rural celebrities" represented by them that supported the sky of rural high school education in our country that era, so not only their students should remember them, but the Republic should also remember them. Dear teacher: The teacher’s kindness is unforgettable!

The light is silent, flying away, and I have walked through two and a half years of high school in a blink of an eye. Looking back, I stared at the day and night with my alma mater, the light and shadows flowed over me, and I have been bitter and laughed. This is what you have given me - the most precious years of hardship and joy.

Three days from July 7 to 9, 1979, we took the college entrance examination. With the careful training and education of our teachers and the hard work of our classmates, 45 students in our class were admitted to 16 colleges and universities that year, and I was admitted to a normal university. That year, the same test paper for colleges and technical schools was adopted in a one-stop admission method. In the following years, most of my classmates also passed the school entrance exam, and some joined the military or were recruited as cadres by local administrative departments and teachers by schools. The students who went to the army also became professional soldiers because of their good cultural foundation and high quality. In the years to come, my classmates kept up with the pace of the times, made their own contributions to the development of society and the construction of the country in their respective fields, and created one glory after another!
