Its coast was once rich in gold, and even the country's name was once called: Gold Coast, but in fact it has a lot of marine resources. So what is the strength of this small African country's navy? Perhaps no one would have thought that China's patrol boats were its number one battleship.

The country's navy is too small, with less than 1,000 people and its equipment is quite poor. There are only 9 patrol boats, 4 of which are built by China. Ghana's reception ceremony
This is about ten years ago, and the two sides began negotiations in 2008. Ghana hopes to introduce a batch of new ships, because since 1980, no ship has been introduced, but in fact, most of the ships introduced are retired boats from others.
In September 2008, China signed the first contract with the Ministry of Agriculture of Ghana and ; then in 2009, a second contract was signed, ordering a total of 4 patrol boats from China, and the models sold were: foreign trade 46-meter-class patrol boats. The displacement is 200 tons, the maximum speed is 30 knots, and only 14.5 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns are installed.
China-assisted small patrol boat
Some people may feel that the design of this patrol boat is too simple and has no combat effectiveness. It may be like this for a big country, but for the Ghanaian Navy, this battleship is definitely a battleship, and its design fully meets the usage requirements. The Ghanaian Navy has no combat requirements. In fact, it is used as non-combat ships, and is mainly used for maritime patrols and other work. Not to mention, two of them belong to the Ghanaian Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Perhaps the firepower of this patrol boat is weaker, but it doesn't matter. Other patrol boats in Ghana are not much stronger than it. Instead, they are the latest ones. The others were built before 1980. Although the surface performance is better, they are too old and their actual condition is quite poor.
Ghana Army's Chinese equipment
