According to a resident on the first floor of the unit, before the incident, two sofas and an electric bicycle were placed in the aisle inside the unit door. 5th floor, told reporters that at around 1 o'clock that day, he and his son and daughter-in-law were asleep. Suddenly, the puppy at home kept barking. After he got up, he vaguely smelled smoke in the house. After opening the door, he found that the entire corridor was surrounded by thick smoke, so he quickly closed the room and woke up his son and daughter-in-law. "About half an hour, the fire was extinguished. The firefighters went upstairs to knock on the door, reminding us not to use electricity for the time being, nor to go out."

Ms. Chen, a resident on the first floor, told reporters that at around 1:30 on the 23rd, she and her wife were sleeping in the house. Suddenly the house was filled with pungent smoke, and the thick smoke in the corridor had already made people unable to open their eyes. So she closed the door and opened the windows in the house for breathability.
Then, the reporter came to the 4th floor and knocked on the door of Room 402. The reporter saw a portrait of a woman on the table in the living room. There were many people sitting around the room. A man said that there is something happening at home for the time being and it is not convenient to accept an interview. Room 401 has not answered. The reporter then went to the 5th floor. In front of the door of Room 501, the reporter saw a small white flower hanging on the door frame. After knocking on the door, a portrait of a man was placed on the table in the living room in the room. A man said that the family of the deceased is currently dealing with matters in the community and it is not convenient to accept an interview.

Another resident told reporters that the four people who died were a mother and son in Room 402, a young girl in Room 401 and a man in Room 501. "It is said that they all wanted to go downstairs to escape, but they were choked to death in the corridor before they had time to run out."
