2021-2022 academic year undergraduate course selection work is about to begin. The time flow and precautions are as follows:
1. Operation instructions
(1) All course selection adopt the online course selection method, the teaching management information system website: http://eamis.nankai.edu.cn, the account password is the same as the Nankai University Information Portal account password. During the course selection period, off-campus networks can directly log in to the teaching management information system. is recommended to use a computer to log in to the system through Google or Firefox.
(II) Properly keep the course selection account and password, and cannot inform others, and cannot entrust others to choose the course on their behalf. The course selection errors arise due to entrusting others to choose the course, you are responsible for your own responsibility.
(III) The corresponding course selection number for each course is four digits. Fill in the course selection number and click "Select (reject) course".
(IV) The "course selection quota" in the course selection manual refers to the number of students studying in the training program, including minors and re-education; "inter-professional quota" refers to the open cross-professional quota.
2. Course selection process and time arrangement
Course selection is divided into five stages: pre-select, regular selection, re-refund selection, compulsory course re-entry and mid-term withdrawal.
(I) Pre-selected, 9:00 on July 26, 2021 to 23:00 on August 25.
Pre-select is a preliminary selection of courses, and you can perform course selection and withdrawal operations. All courses in the pre-selected stage can be selected for more than the course quota. After the pre-selected period, the system will filter the course selection data based on the course quota and filtering rules, and publish the filter results before the selection. The screening rules give priority to ensuring that students choose courses in the training program of this major. Some students who exceed the limited number of candidates may lose their election during the data processing process.

Students confirm and adjust the pre-select results and can perform course selection and withdrawal operations. The course selection system is implemented, and the course selection quotas will be released every day at 9 o'clock, 12 o'clock and 15 o'clock.

Students listen to the course based on the results of the selection and adjust the selected course according to the audition situation. They can perform course selection and withdrawal operations.
(IV) Compulsory courses are re-entered, September 22, 2021 to September 24, 12:00.
is a compulsory course for students who are in senior year (year, senior, and postponed graduation) to miss the registration and will not be processed for withdrawal. All students who need to apply for compulsory courses must submit a paper re-registration application, and submit it to the Teaching Management Department of the Academic Affairs Office after signing and stamping by their college, the starting unit, and the teacher.
(Five) Midterm withdrawal, 9:00 on November 1, 2021 to 12:00 on November 5.
If the course selected by students whose course starts within 10 weeks (excluding) or after the 10th week is unable to complete the course study on time due to various reasons, they can perform the withdrawal operation in the teaching management information system at this stage, but the course cannot be selected. The student transcript scores of the courses that were dropped out of this stage are recorded as "W" (withdrawn, withdrawal), and are not included in the credit score.
3. 2021 undergraduate course selection time arrangement
courses are divided into two categories: compulsory courses and elective courses. Compulsory courses are divided into three categories: general knowledge compulsory courses, major basic courses, and professional compulsory courses. Elective courses are divided into two categories: professional elective courses and general elective courses. Undergraduates of the 2021 class are requested to choose courses based on the course selection guidance of their college, and give priority to the compulsory courses and choose elective courses as appropriate. It is not recommended that freshmen choose major elective courses in the first semester of their freshman year to avoid blindly choosing courses.
(I) Level 21 pre-selected, 9:00 on September 11, 2021 to 23:00 on September 13.
All courses in the pre-selected stage can exceed the course selection quota for course selection. After the pre-selected, the system will filter the course selection data. The course selection time is not included in the processing rules, and the selected courses at any time in the pre-selected stage are equally involved in the screening.

4. Repair
(I) The school implements a repair system.Any course that fails the assessment should be retaken if you want to obtain credits for the course.
(2) Resuming course selection time: pre-select, regular selection, and re-refund selection stage. During the formal selection and re-refunding stage, re-selecting courses must be selected from the "re-selecting" channel.
(III) When the re-study courses conflict with the courses that are normally studied in the semester, you can re-study the courses, but you must submit a self-study application. If the self-study is not processed, the final grade will be affected, and the consequences will be borne by the students themselves.
5. Self-study
Students can apply for self-study courses, complete the teaching links specified by the teacher, participate in the teaching activities and various assessments specified by the teacher, and obtain credits for the course after passing the assessment.
(I) Application conditions
1. In the event of conflict in course time, if one of the following conditions is met, you can apply to study the course in a way that is not studied by yourself:
(1) Self-study course is a minor;
(2) A course in which students in the fourth grade (fifth grade in clinical medicine and stomatology majors) must obtain credits to meet graduation requirements;
(3) A course in which re-study or delayed courses;
(4) The average credit score of all courses of students is above 85 (inclusive).
2. If the course time does not conflict, the average credit score of students in all courses is above 85 (inclusive) points, and they can apply for self-study.
3. Students who are interschool exchanges can apply for self-study during the exchange period.
(II) Application time: September 6th to 23:00
(III) Processing process: Students submit an application (Teaching Management Information System-My-Self-Study Application), review by the teacher, the starting unit, and the Academic Affairs Office.
(IV) Students should submit a self-study application before the course audition. During the audition, they should explain the self-study situation to the subject teacher and ask the subject teacher to review it.
(Five) Each student must not have more than one self-study course per semester.
(VI) For courses with time conflict, please first select one course in the course selection interface, and then apply for another course to study for self-study.
6. Course selection instructions
(I) Course selection is generally carried out in the order of selecting compulsory courses for general knowledge first, then selecting basic courses and professional courses for majors, and finally selecting professional courses and general courses for general knowledge.
(II) General elective courses include six modules: public energy quality and service to China, artistic aesthetics and cultural thinking, scientific spirit and healthy life, social development and national governance, engineering literacy and future science and technology, world civilization and international vision. In principle, the 2021 level requires at least four modules to be selected from the six modules, and each module can complete at least 2 credits.
(III) The total number of courses selected per semester shall not exceed 32 credits (excluding minors). On this premise, the college can formulate the upper limit of the total number of courses selected by students per semester based on the characteristics of their majors.
(IV) Minor Selection Courses
Teaching Management Information System provides two channels: "undergraduate" and "minor" and minor selection courses. The minor selection courses need to be selected from the "minor" channel. When taking minor course selection, please be careful not to choose the quota of cross-professional course selection incorrectly. The selected courses for majors and minors do not allow time conflicts.
(V) Students who have graduated from school should choose courses
Students who have graduated from school should go to the teaching office of their college to choose courses on behalf of the courses.
(VI) Athletes admitted according to the special admission policy take the following physical education courses:

7. Precautions for course selection
(I) Please confirm that the tuition fee is paid before 23:00 on July 23, 2021, otherwise it will affect the course selection.
(II) Students must participate in the pre-select and the regular selection. The courses that have been selected in the previous course schedule are recommended by the school and are not used as the basis for students to select courses. Students must enter the system to select courses and confirm the selected courses. If you do not participate in the pre-select, you may not be able to choose professional elective courses. If you withdraw from the normal professional compulsory courses and make another choice, the courses may be selected by students from other majors and it is difficult to choose.
All courses must be selected by yourself. During the course selection period, you must log in to the system to check your course selection situation regardless of whether you choose the course or not, and you must not shirk responsibility for any reason.
(III) The second phase of re-examination is required. You must log in to the system to check the course selection situation.
(Four) Inter-grade and inter-professional elective courses must consult the class tutor to avoid blindly selecting courses.
(V) Carefully see whether the courses are held in Balitai Campus or Jinnan Campus, and avoid the selection of courses across two campuses, which will affect personal learning arrangements.
(VI) It is strictly forbidden to use course selection software to select courses. Once discovered, it will be dealt with seriously in accordance with relevant regulations, and the student will be added to the course selection blacklist. Courses cannot be selected.
