Qunchuang reported 17 infringement of cross-strait panel patent wars for cross-strait panels to start

cross-strait panel patent wars start! Qunchuang Optoelectronics 26 announced that it had filed a total of 17 patent infringement lawsuits in the second mainland court before the Lunar New Year, accusing Chongqing Huike Jinyu Optoelectronics Technology, Hefei Huike Jinyang Technology and its dealers of suspected of infringing Qunchuang's patent rights, manufacturing, using, selling, and promising the sale of infringing LCD panel products, and using infringing products to produce televisions and other display devices.

This is the first major move by Taiwan panel factories, filed an infringement lawsuit against mainland panel factories, and started a patent war after cross-strait panel factories strive for production capacity and grab talents.

Huike, which started with white brand monitors and TV OEM, has been purchasing panels from Qunchuang (Qimei Electric) and AUO for more than ten years. In recent years, with the policy support of the mainland government, it has rapidly expanded upstream to master the panel supply of key components. After the Chongqing 8.6 generation factory was mass-produced in 2017, Huike's second Chuzhou 8.6 generation factory, which began to be built last year, will be mass-produced as early as the end of this year and the beginning of next year.

Huike plans to build the world's largest 11th generation factory in Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone this year, with an estimated investment of RMB 40 billion (approximately NT$1854.4 billion) to produce 65 to 150-inch 4K, 8K LCD panels and curved LCD panels. By then, Huike will take over the total production capacity of three next-generation panel factories, and will be close to CCTV (Panda and Rainbow), firmly occupying the industrial position of mainland panel factories as "sitting four to grab three" and dividing the market share of Taiwan-based panel factories, Qunchuang and AUO large-size panels.

Qunchuang also filed 17 patent infringement lawsuits with the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court and Ningbo Intermediate People's Court on February 12, accusing Chongqing Huike Jinyu Optoelectronics Technology, Hefei Huike Jinyang Technology and its dealers of suspected infringement of Qunchuang's patent rights. Both courts have accepted the case.

, Chairman and CEO of Qunchuang, said that Qunchuang has invested a lot of resources and manpower for a long time, developed high-end panel manufacturing technology, and obtained a number of patents in various countries. Moreover, based on its own technology, Qunchuang's R&D team continues and actively improves various R&D achievements, winning high recognition from customers. For peers, group creation also has a fair competition and friendly cooperation position to jointly develop or authorize technology.

Crown allegations that Chongqing Huike Jinyu Optoelectronics Technology has manufactured and sold a large number of LCD panel products suspected of infringing 17 patent rights without permission, and provided it to Hefei Huike Jinyang Technology to produce HKC brand TVs including but not limited to models H32L1 and H32S2, or other display devices. Moreover, the above-mentioned models of TV have been sold in large quantities throughout China through websites and physical stores.

Wang Zhichao said that Qunchuang asked Huike to stop the infringement immediately and prevent the recurrence of infringement, and completely stop the production of infringement products and destroy relevant inventory and production equipment, thereby fundamentally preventing Huike from infringing its patent rights.

Wang Zhichao called on Chinese companies to fully respect their intellectual property rights and jointly maintain an honest and trustworthy business environment, and hope that Chinese courts will be fair in the case of infringement fairly in accordance with the law to face up to the hearing.

Cross-strait panel patent war/Guo Dongren waited for this day for three years

Quanchuang decided to build an 8.6th generation factory in 2015, Chongqing Huike and Xianyang Rainbow in mainland China followed up to invest in the construction of the 8.6th generation factory. Coincidentally, both mainland factories have resigned employees from Qunchuang to help. Chairman of Hon Hai Group , Guo Taiming was furious and ordered a thorough investigation and sue, fully demonstrating Mr. Guo's style of defending the rights and interests of the group and shareholders.

It is understood that Qunchuang was poached by the mainland factory in Qianbo and was seriously injured. Five integration directors under the five general directors of Qunchuang Nanke were poached two generals by Huike.

Afterwards, these resigned supervisors took away a number of personnel one after another, and it is estimated that the poaching time will fall in 2015.

Qunchuang later discovered that the company's patent was improperly used. In order to file an infringement lawsuit, it was not until Chongqing Huike Jinyu Optoelectronics Technology mass-produced in the second quarter of 2017 and sold related products that it started a testimony search in September last year. After the relevant evidence was complete, 17 patent infringement lawsuits were filed in one breath on February 12 this year.

For this counterattack, Qunchuang has been with the hope of fully defending the company and shareholders' rights and interests with complete evidence.

On the other hand, at the end of 2016, it was reported that group-creation employees switched to Rainbow Optoelectronics in mainland China, and there were doubts about key technologies being outflowed. Terry Gou was furious and sent a letter of evidence to 48 resigned employees.

Among the resigned employees of this batch, including 48 key technologies below the head of the factory, the purpose is to assist Xianyang Rainbow Optoelectronics in building the 8.6th generation panel factory with a total investment of approximately RMB 28 billion (more than NT$100 billion). It is affiliated to China Electric Panda Group and built the first 8.6th generation TFT-LCD production line for Panda to go to Xianyang for the first time, which is called the "first board of the Silk Road". After the news of the Rainbow case was exposed, Qunchuang emphasized that it did not invest or technical cooperation with Rainbow Optoelectronics, and actively investigated the behavior of suspected business secrets and harming the company, and would never be lenient.
