Every year during the Lunar New Year, the Prime Minister of Singapore holds a New Year garden party for grassroots leaders. This traditional activity, which began in the 1980s, was intended to thank grassroots leaders for their hard work to serve the community.
The last Spring Festival Garden Tour was held at the Presidential Palace in 2015, and was held in the People's Association Headquarters and the Marina Bay Garden respectively in the following two years.
