As the first archaeological special museum among domestic universities, the Sekler Archaeology and Art Museum of Peking University was the predecessor of the Archaeology Research Office established by Peking University in 1922. The collection covers several major categories such as stone tools, bronze tools, oracle bones, pottery, porcelain, calligraphy and paintings, and inscriptions.
Among them, the exhibition of the Stone Age is the most eye-opening of three special topics: Jinniushanren in Yingkou, Liaoning, Beizhuang Neolithic Site in Changdao, Shandong, and Yaoma in Quwo, Shanxi; the Terracotta Warriors and Horses unearthed from the tombs of the Han Dynasty displayed in the cultural relics of the Three Kingdoms, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties will also open your eyes. The predecessor of the Tsinghua University Specimen Hall was the animal and plant specimen room of the Department of Biology, Tsinghua University, and was first built in the 1930s. In 2015, the Tsinghua University Specimen Museum was officially rebuilt on the fourth floor of the Biology Museum. The specimen museum has six exhibition areas, namely shellfish exhibition area, mammal exhibition area, bird exhibition area, reptile exhibition area, marine life exhibition area and plant exhibition area.
The museum contains precious specimens such as giant pandas, Yangtze alligators, Tibetan antelope, white dolphins, and golden eagles, as well as exquisite and gorgeous shellfish specimens. It also contains some specimens collected by students from Tsinghua University's Department of Biology during their internships in the field.

Central University for Nationalities Museum is "the only museum among the more than 100 museums in universities across the country that collects 56 ethnic cultural relics" and "the only museum in northern China that exhibits Taiwanese alpine cultural relics." The museum contains more than 30,000 pieces of cultural relics, documents, clothing, production tools, etc. of various ethnic minorities.
One of the floors mainly displays the special clothing of various Chinese ethnic groups, such as Manchu cheongsams and jackets, Tibetan loose and fat cotton robes, Mongolian thick horse boots, Hui people's white clothes and white hats, as well as Miao pleated skirts, and the Beijing people's most distinctive decoration - the big straw hat. The exhibition space of the museum adopts the form of one hall and multiple districts. Now, it has basically been built including Yu Zhenfei’s life exhibition hall, Chinese opera literature exhibition hall, Northern folk furniture exhibition hall, Beijing-Kunming Art Exhibition Hall, etc. There are 5 treasures in the Shanghai Opera Museum, namely, the robe of Zhou Xinfang, the handle of the cover of the gaze, Yu Zhenfei's costume, the squid of Li Yuru, and the goose feather fan of Tan Xinpei. These are the authentic works used by famous actors when performing on stage in the past.
