At 9 a.m., the 2018 Cross-Strait Teacher-Student Exchange and the "Zhongshan Cup" Youth Baseball Invitational Tournament opened here.

This event is divided into two groups: U12 and U15. There are 8 youth baseball teams from Taitung, Taoyuan, Guangdong Zhongshan and Guangzhou. Nearly 200 sports teenagers will compete fiercely in Dongsheng Town for three days.

At 10 am, after the kick-off ceremony, a game in the U12 group was held between the Zhongshan Pandas and the Beinan Primary School team. Young baseball players from Zhongshan and Taitung appeared in turn under the introduction of the commentary, wearing protective gear neatly and professionally, shouting the slogans of their own team. Compared with the athletes in the U15 group, these teenagers obviously have not yet grown into mature players, but there is no difference between their seriousness and concentration in the competition. hitting , running base, strikeout, blocking, touching... Under the coach's roaring tactical command, these teenagers under the age of 12 played a wonderful game, allowing the audience to see the charm of baseball games.

This event is co-organized by the Taiwan Affairs Bureau of Zhongshan Municipal People's Government, Zhongshan Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, and Dongsheng Town People's Government. It is understood that since 2006, Zhongshan has carried out cross-strait teacher-student exchange activities, which have been held for 12 consecutive sessions, and over the years, more than 1,000 teachers and students have participated. As a brand extension of the teacher-student exchange activities between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, the "Zhongshan Cup" Youth Baseball Invitational Tournament is a new platform for experiential exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, laying a good foundation for promoting the development of baseball sports exchanges in Zhongshan and Taiwan.
