On June 29-30, the "China Sports Lottery Cup" 2019 Nanning Youth Swimming Competition and the 14th Autonomous Region Games Material Selection Competition was held at Taoyuan Swimming Pool, the Nanning Sports Bureau, and the Nanning Sports Federation, hosted by the Nanning Sports Management Training Center and the Nanning Primary and Secondary School External Education Activity Center, and co-organized by the Nanning Swimming Association and the Nanning Sports Public Welfare Fund Youth Sports Development Club.
The event gathered 637 athletes from 52 primary and secondary schools, amateur sports schools and sports clubs including Nanhu Primary School, Yuyue, Binyang off-campus and other 637 athletes participated in the competition. In addition to showing swimming skills and communicating with Nanning youth, this competition is also an excellent opportunity for swimming coaches to discover and select Nanning youth swimming talents. They can replenish fresh blood for the Nanning swimming team and better prepare for the 14th Autonomous Region Games.
The competition started on June 29. After 2 days, the results of each group and all the results have been released. The Binyang off-campus team won the first place with a total team score of 676.50 points, the Olympic Sports team won the second place with a total team score of 560.50 points, and the Nanhua team won the third place with a total team score of 460.50 points. The Mackerel, Wu Huanxing, Nanhu Primary School, Yuyue, and the Third Middle School Youth Show team ranked fourth to eighth in the overall team score list respectively.
Director Tang Hong of Nanning Sports Management Training Center introduced that this competition is the largest youth swimming competition in Nanning this year, and it also kicks off the Nanning Youth Sports Competition. Next, a series of Nanning Youth Sports Competitions such as track and field, taekwondo will be held one after another. In addition, a group of excellent seedlings emerged in this competition, which has continuously strengthened the talent reserves in Nanning, improved the swimming level of young people in Nanning, and promoted the development of swimming in Nanning and the autonomous region.
