It is obvious that Xia Boyi's words have lost the basic professionalism and rationality of legal professionals. The Hong Kong National Security Law is fully in line with the Basic Law. National security is the central government’s responsibility. The Hong Kong National Security Law is a national law formulated by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Local governments have no power to amend the Hong Kong National Security Law at all. It is obvious that he has not put himself in the right position and his professionalism is also crazy. In fact, without national security, there is no way to talk about human rights protection and judicial independence. In the six months since the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law, the chaos of serious violence in society has been reversed, and the number of arrests on destructive crimes caused by demonstrations has decreased by 50%. Facts have proved that the Hong Kong National Security Law has given greater protection to the legitimate rights and freedoms of Hong Kong citizens. As a legal professional association, the Bar Association should use the law to discuss matters and firmly defend the rule of law. However, in recent years, the association's position has tended to be politicized, and it has been constantly using its own voice and social influence to encourage activities to cause disasters and chaos in Hong Kong, which has become increasingly despised by all sectors of Hong Kong society. During the storm of the amendment bill, the Bar Association issued statements many times, pointing its finger at the SAR government and Hong Kong police , and in fact it became a "inciting violence" and "perpetrator". Since the national security legislation, some people from the Bar Association have deliberately distorted their interpretations in an attempt to prevent the smooth implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law. "Human rights and freedom" and "judicial independence" have become the shell of their political stance and the tools for seeking political interests. Dai Qisi, the former chairman of the guild, not only openly praised the arrested thugs for having good character and suggested that the Department of Justice be exempted from prosecution, but also made a fuss that Hong Kong "no longer has a completely independent judicial system." Xia Boyi, who spoke wildly as soon as he came on stage, disappointed the Hong Kong people again.
