came out of Kaohsiung Pui Er Art Special Zone and came directly to the wide Hamaxing Railway Cultural Park. The park is the hinterland of the original Kaohsiung Port station. Kaohsiung Port Station is the first railway station in Kaohsiung, and it is also a transportation station that started the sea-land transportation in the past. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by air strikes during World War II, after being simply renovated, the original station body was presented in the appearance of the Dagou Railway Story Museum. Since the railway monuments here are fully preserved, they are also the only 100-year-old station in Taiwan that can be dynamically re-drived.
The park covers an area of about 12 football fields.
walked out of Exit 2 of Kaohsiung MRT Xiziwan Station. Many people will feel like they are back to the old times. To the east of the exit is the Hamaxing Railway Cultural Park, with an area of more than 7 hectares. Looking around, a large area of railways "lying on" green space. Seeing the scale of the railway, you can imagine the large amount of cargo in Kaohsiung Port in the past, and the grand occasion between the trains and the Lingang Line.
On weekends and holidays, the most common thing you see in the park is flying kites. Children and adults can be seen everywhere trying to practice balance by taking the railroad tracks. More of the family is traveling, buying a colorful kite to fly into the sky in the wind. There are almost no wires in the park, making it the most suitable for flying kites.

Kaohsiung’s light rail Hamaxing platform is also Taiwan’s first light rail. At first, I thought it was a short-distance sightseeing bus in the Lieutenant Arts Special Zone and the Railway Cultural Park, but later I found out that it was a ring light rail of the Kaohsiung MRT.
just takes advantage of this traffic map of the light rail platform to learn about Kaohsiung's MRT system. There are two MRT lines in Kaohsiung, namely the red line and the orange line. The green part we see above is the Kaohsiung light rail and the gray part is the light rail under construction. The light rail connects the red line and the orange line, strengthening the road network function. When you arrive at the railway cultural park, you can walk to the MRT Xiziwan Station. Now, you can also take the light rail directly to the scenic area.

If you want to continue the humanistic journey, you can go to the surrounding Puerto Art Special Zone, Kaohsiung Municipal History Museum, and other places; or if you want to move your body and get close to nature and animals, Shoushan National Natural History Park, and Shoushan Zoo are also good choices.
