In my ultra-thin refrigerator article, when it comes to ultra-thin insulation layer, we have to mention Toshiba's aviation-grade ultra-thin vacuum insulation layer. The ultra-high floor area ratio of Toshiba refrigerator is also due to the ultra-thin vacuum insulation layer. Even if Meiling's comprehensive thin refrigerator has a very big gap in area ratio, it can reach 500L in width and capacity of 600mm, only Toshiba is the only one. In addition, Toshiba has another very conscientious aspect, that is, most of the models are dual-circulating, which cannot be seen in the other two Japanese brands. The sales volume of each model is not as good as the fraction of other refrigerators. Of course, there are many reasons. On the one hand, Toshiba's popularity is much weaker than the other two models, and on the other hand, there are many complaints about after-sales service.
When it comes to Toshiba, it is important to talk about the two production places of Toshiba refrigerators in China:

Hitachi:
Before introducing Hitachi refrigerators, we must first know what Hitachi’s two major black technologies are. Let’s introduce it separately below:

I also mentioned earlier that there are two main directions for preservation technology: 1) Temperature control, such as zero-degree preservation and slightly frozen technology; 2) Gas regulation, such as oxygen control and vacuum preservation. This model basically contains Hitachi's current major black technology, vacuum ice greenhouse and catalyst dormant and freshness. After all, buying a refrigerator is actually buying a refrigerator to keep it fresh, so many people come for these two major black technologies. This one also has an ice-making room, which is suitable for friends who need ice-making. Compared with the other two Japanese brands, I think Hitachi's space partition is more reasonable, but what is a bit inconvenient is that the fruit and vegetable area is placed at the bottom. Because fruit and vegetable are the most commonly used, you need to bend down to open the fruit and vegetable room frequently, which is a small disadvantage of this Hitachi.

Hitachi's floor area ratio is higher, mainly due to vacuum insulation materials, which are relatively expensive. I also mentioned in the special article on ultra-thin refrigerators that it is not difficult to thin the refrigerator. If it is difficult, it does not affect performance. Therefore, the general professional approach is to use this vacuum insulation material. Of course, the cost is relatively high. Just look at the price of Meiling’s super thin series. So this one is a very good choice. Friends with a budget of more than 20,000 yuan, it is recommended to consider it.

This model is placed here, not to recommend everyone to buy it, but to remind everyone not to buy it. The reason is:
Hitachi that we can buy in China mainly comes from two origins:

Like the Japanese multi-door refrigerators we know, which are relatively good-known, are imported from Japan, such as the R-HW540JC in the previous model, mirror design, dual circulation, such as vacuum ice greenhouse and catalyst dormant, these Hitachi's black technologies are also available. But Hitachi made in Thailand is completely incomparable to Hitachi produced in Japan. Generally, the Thai-made doors are mainly double-opening and cross-doors, and the workmanship and quality control are not comparable to those produced in Japan. So when you buy Hitachi, you must first look at the origin and avoid Thai products decisively. If you see anyone recommending Thai-made Hitachi, you can also decisively unblock it.

Let’s talk about Casarti first. Casarti is positioned as a high-end brand, with sufficient materials and good performance compared to European brands. In terms of energy efficiency, Casarte refrigerators have outperformed the Siemens and Panasonic refrigerators I recommended earlier. Currently, all Casarte series on sale on JD.com are first-level energy efficiency, while the Siemens and Panasonic refrigerators I recommended earlier are all second-level energy efficiency. So when choosing a Casarte refrigerator, you don’t have to worry about energy efficiency at all. However, recently, Casarte refrigerators have been reported by users to have dropped significantly in quality control, so everyone should pay attention.
Below I recommend several different types of refrigerators with high market recognition.
This Casarte French four-door, the original stone series, the appearance is good, but the black system may not be as easy as the white system to match the decoration style. This depends on everyone's own judgment. Let me talk about the function below:

About preservation technology: This model uses MSA oxygen control and preservation. I have actually mentioned earlier that oxygen control and preservation is a type of gas control. The most typical representative is Hitachi's vacuum iced freshness, and this Casarte also has this principle. It can also be seen from the above picture that MSA oxygen control and freshness preservation is mainly a fresh storage room above, rather than the entire refrigerator.This is pretty good to keep.
About sterilization and antibacterial: This refrigerator and freezer have sterilization technology. The refrigerator is vortex dynamic sterilization, and the freezer is herbal sterilization, so in this model, this Casarte is still good. This model is also a dual circulation, so don't worry about the smell problem
About partition: The bottom layer of this model is a wide-width greenhouse. In fact, it is mainly used as a freezer, because the freezer is relatively small, and it may not be enough for ordinary families. With this wide-width temperature change, it is basically enough.

4. Other precautions when purchasing a refrigerator
4.1 How much distance should be reserved on both sides of the refrigerator?
often have friends who have questions, that is, how much distance should I reserve on both sides of the refrigerator when I buy a refrigerator. I will introduce this issue that everyone is concerned about.

Whether the door can be opened normally, that is, the distance to be opened by the reserved box door; 2. Whether the heat dissipation is heat dissipation on both sides or the bottom, that is, the heat dissipation distance of the refrigerator is reserved. Let’s talk about these two factors separately.
1. Can the door be opened normally?
is actually easy to understand. If there is no reserved space on both sides, the door will not be opened. Let me give you an example using my family’s situation.
My refrigerator is like this, with the wall on the left and the cabinets and countertops on the right. And you can see that my refrigerator is prominent on the table, which means that even if there is no distance left on the right, there will be basically no problem opening the door on the right of the refrigerator. But on the left is the wall. If no position is reserved, the door on the right can only be opened 90°, so the refrigerated drawer cannot be pulled out.
This is the distance reserved on the left and right sides of my refrigerator: 8cm on the left and 5cm on the right.
Let’s take a look at the effect of opening the door again: the door on the left side is opened and it basically sticks to the wall, so the reserved 8cm will be enough. There is definitely no problem when opening the door on the right.
So when reserving a location, you must combine the situation of your home: if one side of the refrigerator is against the wall, then you must reserve more on the side against the wall, and it is recommended to be about 10cm; if not against the wall, then see if the box door protrudes from the countertop. If it is protrudes, the door opening will not be affected by the reserved distance. If it does not protrude, then at least 5cm of the box door opening distance is required.
2. How much heat dissipation distance is reserved?
Refrigerator heat dissipation mainly involves heat dissipation on both sides. For refrigerators with heat dissipation on both sides, the reserved distance on one side is best 5-10cm. If the distance is too small, it will affect the heat dissipation of the refrigerator, thereby increasing the power consumption. There are also refrigerators that dissipate heat at the bottom. For this type of refrigerator, the distance on both sides can be reserved slightly smaller, but it is also recommended to be at least 3-5cm to facilitate the placement of the refrigerator.
Now there is another type called a free-embedded refrigerator, mostly Casarte, as shown in the figure below: The characteristic of this type of refrigerator is that the box is thin and can be embedded in the cabinet. The heat dissipation is mainly heat dissipation at the bottom, so only 2cm away on both sides needs to be reserved, but because it is fully embedded, the box door can only be opened by 90°. Currently, if you like integrated cabinets, you can consider this solution.
Some friends reported that the reserved width of the refrigerator is not enough (below 700mm), and they also want large capacity. The following analysis is made for this situation:
cross-double door and double-opening door should not be considered, as this width is very large;
French four-door width is at least 700mm, and must be excluded;
only three-door refrigerator is the best choice, but the capacity is not too large, generally 350-400L is the limit.
4.2 How do you view the climate type of refrigerator and what is its function?
We often see the climate type shown in the figure below on the refrigerator details page. Many friends do not understand what this means and what its specific impact will be. Let’s talk about it below.

climate type, which is actually the ambient temperature required for this refrigerator to work normally. According to national standards, climate types are mainly divided into the following four types: subtemperature type (SN, 10-32℃), temperate type (N, 16-32℃), subtropical type (ST, 18-38℃), and tropical type (T, 18-43℃). Let’s take the T-type climate type as an example. T-type climate type products can ensure that the internal temperature can be cooled to -18℃ normally under a high temperature environment of 43℃. It is also difficult for us to reach a high temperature of 43℃ in our daily indoors, so daily use has no effect. Most refrigerators are now in a wide temperate zone.
