Introduction

Qatar-France Cultural Year 2020—a specially curated cultural project aimed at promoting mutual understanding, recognition and appreciation between France and Qatar—appearing at the 2020 Daytime Night City Night Art Festival with the immortal multimedia interactive installation of "Garden of Light". The Qatar Museum exhibits a monumental interactive installation called Garden of Light on a daytime night, as part of the French-Qatar Cultural Year, the result of international collaboration between Qatar artist Gada Al-Cart and the Hello Studios in Paris.

This installation is located in the Champs Elysées and reinterprets the Persian carpet with contemporary technology and aesthetics. The “Garden of Light” is inspired by the patterns of flora and fauna in Qatar and traditional carpets, which become lifelike in the footsteps of tourists.

Between natural and traditional heritage, "Garden of Light" invites visitors to discover lush natural growth while strolling on the surface of the work. This work is a product of international cooperation, combining France's expertise in creative technology and the traditional Middle East cultural heritage owned by Qatar.
