The firefighter said the fire was under control at around 5 am and was roughly extinguished at 8:40 am. It is understood that the luxury house is owned by artist Brigitte Lin , and the current market value of the luxury house has exceeded HK$1.1 billion. Lin was not in the house at the time of the incident, but nearly 20 people were evacuated, all of whom were servants in luxury houses, and they escaped with their multi-headed dogs.

It is reported that the detached houses at No. 9 and 11 Anderson Road are owned by Brigitte Lin and his family. In addition to a private swimming pool, the rooftop of the house also has a tennis court. The residence was purchased by Lin Qingxia's husband Xing Li, for 130 million yuan in 2006, and then gave the property to Lin Qingxia as a gift for her 60th birthday and the 20th anniversary of her marriage.
