Shaoguan Meteorological and Astronomy Popular Science Museum
Shaoguan Meteorological and Astronomy Popular Science Museum includes two parts: Main Hall of the Meteorological Bureau and Furong Mountain Radar Station exhibition area. The museum has rich popular science content and diverse display forms.
Through the perfect combination and immersive interaction of high-tech multimedia means such as virtual reality, holography, and sound, light, electricity, etc., it provides everyone with a high-tech science popularization place to fully learn, master meteorological technology and astronomical knowledge, and understand the causes, hazards and prevention measures of meteorological disasters such as heavy rain, thunder, lightning, frozen rain and snow, freezing, drought, as well as the causes, hazards and prevention measures of meteorological disasters such as floods, geological disasters, forest fires, etc.
In the science museum, it can also actually observe celestial bodies through high-precision astronomical telescopes to popularize astronomical knowledge. It is an ideal concentration for everyone to obtain popular science knowledge in meteorology and astronomy~

Opening hours
① Shaoguan Main Pavilion of the Municipal Meteorological Bureau: 9:00-12:00 every Saturday;
② Furong Mountain Radar Station Branch: 9:00-12:00 the next Saturday;
③ Opening sessions per open day: 9:00-9:55, 10:00-10:55, 11:00-11:55.

Group visits
①Group visits must be made in advance. The main hall of the Meteorological Bureau arranges 2 groups for each venue, and the branch of the radar station arranges 1 group for each venue, with a limited number of 30 to 50 people.
Appointment method: Log in to the WeChat official account of Shaoguan Weather WeChat platform to make an appointment.
② Student groups must ensure at least 1 guardianship teacher; preschool groups must ensure at least 2 guardianship teachers.
Individual visitors
① Children under 1.2 meters, the elderly, and those with mobility difficulties should accompany them to enter the museum for a visit.
② When the number of instant visitors to the main hall of the Meteorological Bureau exceeds 150 and the number of instant visitors to the branch of the radar station exceeds 100, the audience line up to wait and enter the hall in order.
③ Visitors who log in to the WeChat platform of the Meteorological and Astronomy Science Museum on the Shaoguan Weather WeChat public account to make reservations will enjoy priority for visiting the museum.
