  • In order to make baseball more international, in recent years, Asian countries have continuously developed the idea of organizing the "Asian Professional Baseball League": in addition to the original Asian Baseball Championship (sold once every two years. Each country recruits players to form a team to participate. There is no limit to professional baseball players, but only national players), Asian regional professional baseball competitions will be held. Japan has a history of 70 years since its establishment of the Professional Baseball League in 1936; South Korea and Taiwan also established the Professional Baseball League in 1982 and 1990 respectively; China's official professional baseball league, but it has also held the Chinese Baseball League since 2002 and has begun to take shape in the prototype of a professional baseball team.
  • Until March 22, 2005, under the leadership of the Japanese wild ball agency, representatives of the Korean Baseball Committee (South Korea), Major League Baseball (Taiwan) and Chinese Baseball Association held a press conference at Tokyo Imperial Hotel , announcing that the first Asian Professional Baseball Competition will be held and the executive committee will be established. The meeting confirmed that the official name of the first competition was "Asia Series 2005". The participating teams were the annual champion teams of professional baseball leagues in various countries. The competition dates were from November 10 to 13, 2005, and the amount of the game prize (the first place is 50 million yen, the second place is 30 million yen, and the third and fourth places are 10 million yen). In addition, the meeting also confirmed the establishment of the planning committee and executive committee, and exchanged opinions on the foreign generals' presence, drug testing, technical committee, etc.
