2. Group 2 - Chad and Romania

) Chad

Inland country in central Africa, Chad became part of French equatorial Africa in the early 20th century. After World War II, the world colonial system collapsed. On August 11, 1960, Chad gained independence and turned to a new life (in 1960, because 17 African countries broke away from colonial rule, this year was called the "Year of Independence of Africa").

The following figure (Figure 5) - Chad topographic map

The Chad flag is rectangular with an aspect ratio of 3:2.

flag is composed of three parallel and equal vertical rectangles, from left to right, in blue, yellow and red.

Blue symbolizes the blue sky, hope and life, and also represents the southern part of the country;

Yellow symbolizes sunshine and also represents the northern territory (the north is a desert area, which belongs to the tropical desert climate);

Red symbolizes progress, unity and the spirit of dedication to the motherland.

2) Romanian

Romanian mountains and rivers are beautiful, the blue Danube (siding across the river from Bulgaria), the majestic Carpathian mountains (scattered above 40% of Romania's territory) and the vast and splendid Black Sea are its three major national treasures.

The following figure (Figure 7) - Romanian Flag

The shape, aspect ratio and flag style and color of the Romanian flag are almost exactly the same as the Chad flag. The slight difference is only the subtle depth of the blue part.

Its blue symbolizes the blue sky, and the Transylvania region (the central and western region north of Romania);

yellow symbolizes the rich natural resources, and the Wallachia region (the plains between the Carpathians, the Danube and the Black Sea);

red symbolizes the bravery and sacrifice of the people, and the Moldova region.

The following figure (Figure 8) - Romanian topographic map

The national flags of Chad and Romania can be said to be the most similar. It is difficult to easily draw conclusions when displayed alone. It is really a big world and everything is strange.
