This is Mr. Yang Jiang’s best idea when he was preparing to write “We Three”. Since Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu got married in 1935, they have formed a family together to raise their only daughter Qian Yuan, and have spent more than 60 years of trivial life.

Daughter writes stories between parents, father writes stories between wife and daughter, mother writes stories between father and daughter, three parts are condensed into a complete family of three.

This is the best idea when Mr. Yang Jiang was preparing to write " Three Us ".

Since Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu got married in 1935, they formed a family together to raise their only daughter, and jointly spent more than 60 years of trivial life of food and food.

"The three of us" are simple and ordinary together, but they are particularly happy.

Ko from 1994 to 1995, as her husband Qian Zhongshu and daughter Qian Yuan lie on the hospital bed one after another, Mr. Yang Jiang's initial expectations were dashed.

1997, daughter Qian Yuan left. The next year, her husband Qian Zhongshu left. In his later years, he lost his husband and daughter, and Mr. Yang Jiang's home was gone.

In 2002, she finally completed "We Three" alone, recalling these past years, as if they were still by their side.

We are all old

Yang Jiang’s original name is Yang Jikang . He was born in a scholarly family in Beijing in 1911. When he was three years old, his family moved to Suzhou .

Influenced by his father Yang Yinhang , Yang Jiang has loved studying since she was a child and is very talented. Since she was sensible, she has been determined to go to Tsinghua University .

My father saw that Yang Jiang always read a book with him on weekdays, so he teased her: "Aji, what would happen if you didn't study for a week?"

The young Yang Jiang said seriously: "Then you won't live." After hearing this, Yang Yinhang laughed and knew that his daughter's good school students were studying.

1928, after 17-year-old Yang Jiang graduated from high school, he applied to the Foreign Languages Department of Tsinghua University according to his wishes, but unfortunately, that year, Tsinghua did not have a quota for girls in the south.

Yang Jiang had no choice but to go to Suzhou's Soviet University . When she first entered the campus, Yang Jiang was gentle and talented. Many classmates naturally pursued her, but Yang Jiang didn't have the intention to talk about love at that time.

What she missed was Tsinghua University she missed.

At this time, 19-year-old Qian Zhongshu was admitted to the Foreign Languages Department of Tsinghua University with a score of 15 in mathematics in 1929. His outrageously low score made him famous as soon as he first entered the campus.

Later everyone learned that although Qian Zhongshu was not good at math, his Chinese and English skills were extremely high, so Tsinghua University President Luo Jialun Aicai admitted him exceptionally.

Yang Jiang has a Tsinghua dream, and Qian Zhongshu went to school in Tsinghua University. This is probably the fate of the two.

In 1932, the Soochow University where Yang Jiang was located was suspended. She went to Tsinghua University to study. By chance, she met Qian Zhongshu, who was already a junior. The two of them had similar ambitions and sparked gradually.

Qian Zhongshu often guides Yang Jiang in his free time and encourages her to go to the graduate school of the Department of Foreign Languages at Tsinghua University. The following year, Yang Jiang really came to the Tsinghua University Research Institute.

Their love is also known to the family. Fortunately, Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu are both scholarly families, and they are just a perfect match. Both parents are very satisfied.

Soon, Yang Jiang got engaged to Qian Zhongshu. In 1935, they held a wedding ceremony in Suzhou, and since then they have never been separated.

Qian Zhongshu later received a scholarship to study in the UK and France. In order to take care of him, Yang Jiang accompanied him abroad.

Because Qian Zhongshu is the eldest son and grandson of the family, he was spoiled since childhood, so although he has a high level of knowledge, he is a veritable " life idiot ".

Yang Jiang clearly recorded Qian Zhongshu's embarrassing incident abroad in "We Three".

As soon as he arrived in Oxford, Qian Zhongshu broke his teeth when he got off the bus. When he was alone at home, he would always tell Yang Jiang with a bitter face:

"I broke the ink and the tablecloth was dirty." "I broke the desk lamp at home"...

Qian Zhongshu joked that he was clumsy, but Yang Jiang never got angry with him for these things. He always comforted Qian Zhongshu: " doesn't matter. "

Yang Jiang would not deliberately ask Qian Zhongshu to learn something and change his lifestyle. She was happy to clean up these "mes" for Qian Zhongshu.

Although Qian Zhongshu was "crazy", he still got up early to explore preparing breakfast for Yang Jiang and brought it to her bed.

Yang Jiang said, "This is the most delicious breakfast I have ever eaten." Qian Zhongshu made this breakfast for the rest of his life.

"I never thought of marrying someone before seeing her, and I never regretted it after I married her." Qian Zhongshu nodded and admitted this sentence.

After returning to China, Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu taught at university together. Later, due to the Cultural Revolution, the two of them went through the most difficult moment together.

When they returned to Beijing, they were both over 60 years old and were still continuing their literary creations. They just supported each other and went through most of their lives.

1994, 84-year-old Qian Zhongshu fell ill and went to the hospital. At this moment, Yang Jiang seemed to have passed away: It turns out that life is not very long, they are all old.

In fact, the love between Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu is really not very prosperous, and their lives are not all full of romantic love words.

Just as Yang Jiang said himself: The years are quiet and peaceful, and the mess is the daily , but their long-lasting love often lasts longer.

And daughter Qian Yuan is a witness to their love.

The three of us

Yang Jiang was pregnant during her study tour in the UK. Qian Zhongshu was very happy at the time. He always muttered to his wife: "I don't want a son, I just want a daughter, like your daughter."

Listening to Qian Zhongshu's words, Yang Jiang was naturally happy. She hoped that the child could be like her husband, and later it did as she wished.

1937 On May 19, 1937, under the expectation of the couple, his daughter Qian Yuan was born in Oxford, England. Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu were used to calling her Yuanyuan and A Yuan.

Qian Zhongshu couldn't let go of this little life. He hugged it and looked at it. He kept saying, "This is my daughter, my daughter."

Yang Jiang said that his daughter Yuanyuan is a gentle child, not as naughty as he was when he was a child, probably more like his father.

When the children of my grandfather's house climbed a tree, Qian Yuan watched quietly under the tree. The relatives liked the well-behaved Qian Yuan very much, and everyone called her "Yuanyuantou" affectionately.

Grandpa Qian Jibo also likes this "little knowledgeable" granddaughter, and calls her the seed of Qian's study, and puts Qian Yuan on the tip of his heart.

Not to mention Yang Jiang, when she went out, she either hugged Qian Yuan or held her little hand, and when she was on the tram, she had to let her daughter sit on her lap.

Fortunately, Qian Yuan was not spoiled, but had been very sensible since childhood.

Yang Jiang said that she had a bad stomach and had some things that could not be eaten. When others ate, Qian Yuan did not make a fuss, so she just played alone.

But despite the family taking good care of Qian Yuan, she is still a weak and sickly child. When she was in elementary school, Qian Yuan was diagnosed with bone tuberculosis . After treatment and recuperation, she recovered for a long time.

Yang Jiang was teaching at Tsinghua University at the time. She was worried that her daughter, who had just recovered from a serious illness, was in class at school, so she took her with her and taught her the lesson step by step with Qian Zhongshu.

Under the influence of his parents, Qian Yuan still got into Beiman Girls' Middle School with full scores, and then successfully got into Beijing Normal University .

Like the beginning of parents' love, Qian Yuan also met his first husband Wang Deyi on the university campus.

Wang Deyi is an excellent student in the history department of the school. Although Qian Yuan is in the Foreign Language Department, he is a member of the Arts Team and naturally has more opportunities to come into contact with him on weekdays.

At that time, Wang Deyi first expressed his love to Qian Yuan, but she did not agree. Qian Yuan once expressed her views on marriage to Yang Jiang: "If I don't get married, I will follow my parents."

Yang Jiang naturally respects her daughter, so Qian Yuan has not fallen in love until she was 30 years old, so she doesn't urge her.

Later, Yang Jiang and Qian Zhongshu encountered something. She looked at her daughter alone and advised her to find a companion.

Wang Deyi was taken home by Qian Yuan, and the Shuangfa family then met and officially confirmed the relationship. At the end of 1967, Qian Yuan and Wang Deyi got married.

But this marriage lasted only for more than two years. Wang Deyi committed suicide by hanging himself for some reasons. Qian Yuan moved back to her parents' home to live with her parents.

A few years later, Qian Yuan and Yang Weicheng, who was also a second-marriage, formed a family, but unlike Qian Yuan, who had no children in his life, Yang Weicheng already had children at that time.

For the stepchild and stepdaughter, Qian Yuan is not a vicious "stepmother". She just gets along with her "children" like a friend and has been recognized by them.

So before getting sick, Qian Yuan had a happy family life.

As Qian Zhongshu and Yang Jiang's only daughter, Qian Yuan had no children in her life and was plagued by illness in her later years, but she received unreserved love from her parents.

Qian Zhongshu, a literary master, has no shape in front of his daughter, and he plays with her and is willing to become his daughter's "childish" friend.

Yang Jiang remembers everything about her daughter when she was a child. Just like in "We Three", she wrote that her daughter first said was "outside and outside". Her daughter became thinner on her way back to China, and her daughter would cry because of the stories in the book...

In fact, Yang Jiang did not mention her daughter's family in the book. She was just missing her husband and her daughter, and recalling the days when the three of them were together.

It can be said with certainty that Qian Yuan and Qian Zhongshu are both the softest parts in Yang Jiang's heart.

So when she and Qian Zhongshu left, Yang Jiang didn't know what kind of grief she endured, recalled the scenes of happiness, and wrote this warm and faint sadness "We Three".

I miss the three of us alone

In 1994, Qian Zhongshu was admitted to the hospital and never came out again. In the book, Yang Jiang compared the hospital where she "detained" her husband to a boat, a boat that could float away in the water.

She and her daughter would set off from home and board the boat to see the sick Qian Zhongshu. Because Qian Yuan was still teaching in school, she would leave a while ago every time.

Watching her daughter running back and forth, Yang Jiang advised her: "You should have retired long ago, just say that your father is old and your mother is confused."

Qian Yuan can't do anything. She loves teaching and still has her own students in her heart. She can only comfort her mother to see her father on weekends.

Yang Jiang saw Qian Zhongshu unable to eat, watched his dentures fall off, saw his hands full of traces of needles, and watched him love to sleep more and more... She was helpless and helpless.

She was full of panic, afraid that she could board the boat today to see Qian Zhongshu, and that she might not be able to find the boat carrying her husband tomorrow, and that they would never meet again in their lives.

However, the next year, Yang Jiang learned another bad news, and his daughter Qian Yuan was also sick.

Qian Yuan was diagnosed with spinal cancer, but she only told Yang Jiang that she had bone tuberculosis.

Yang Jiang knew that her daughter had this disease when she was a child, so when Qian Yuan told her that she could get better by just recuperating for a while, she had no doubts.

After Yang Jiang told Qian Zhongshu about this, the couple was still saying that this was a bad thing and a good thing. Qian Yuan could have a good rest. I don’t know if he was comforting himself.

cancer treatment process is naturally bitter. Qian Yuan's hair began to fall off in large quantities, and her body was covered with tubes, but she didn't dare to tell her mother, let alone let her father on the hospital bed know.

Qian Yuan's cancer was in the late stage and Yang Jiang knew the truth. She did not tell Qian Zhongshu's baby daughter that she was critically ill.

1997, Qian Yuan walked away while sleeping.

Yang Jiang looked at the empty hospital bed and felt that her heart was bulging. She didn't know why it could still be beating.

Qian Zhongshu probably realized something at that time and always asked Yang Jiang: "Where is A Yuan?"

Yang Jiang told him about Qian Yuan's illness, treatment, and death, and finally said comfortably: "A Yuan was born, we were worried about her, and we don't need it now."

Qian Zhongshu nodded without saying anything, just not knowing what kind of feeling in his heart. At this time, only two cold hands were holding each other together.

0 The second year after Qian Yuan's death, Qian Zhongshu also followed him.

One bad news after another, Yang Jiang felt that she was spinning in the air, and she was dizzy.

Qian Zhongshu and Qian Yuan are both her close relatives. They spent countless meals and four seasons together, but in the end they were only alone.

From now on, home is not a home, it is just an inn.

Although Yang Jiang was sad, she still thought that she had a fulfilling and happy life. She had a loving husband and a sensible daughter. The three of them were always happy together.

Conclusion

Mr. Yang Jiang gave three subtitles to "We Three": "We are all old", "The three of us are separated", and "I miss the three of us alone".

Just through this short text, it is obvious that Mr. Yang Jiang’s inner sadness can be seen.

"We Three" is actually more like the comfort written by Yang Jiang to herself. She just wants to use this book to see her husband and daughter.

The whole book does not have any gorgeous words or ups and downs. She is like a "nagging" wife, telling a simple and ordinary family of three.

Some people may feel boring or even a little bland when reading it, but more people are touched by this book and are touched by their love and family affection.

Yang Jiang does not mention love in every sentence in the book, but it can make people feel the love that is about to overflow from the text.

Of course, there are many "three of us" now. Our lives may be ordinary and ordinary, but as long as the "three of us" are together, the ordinary life is also very happy.
