Weng Huoyong, chairman of the Qing Palace in Fengyuan Town, Taichung, Taiwan, led nearly 300 Mazu believers to hold a ceremony to cut incense and pick up fire at the " Mazu Hometown" on the " Mazu Hometown" in the Meizhou Mazu Temple on Meizhou Island, Putian City, Fujian Province.

Weng Huoyong told reporters that this is the first time in the 13 years since the Zhenqing Palace built a temple, returning to the "Hometown of Mazu" to pay homage to his ancestors and incense. Mazu and ancestors in the world are in Meizhou. Coming to visit his ancestors and incense is the wish of the believers in Zhenqing Palace and it is also a trend of cross-strait integration.

The day before, a group of Qing Palace in Taichung Town arrived at Meizhou Island . Zhuang Meihua and Wu Guochun, vice chairman of the board of directors of Mazu Zu Temple of Meizhou, led members of the board of directors of the Zu Temple to greet them at the wharf. The incense team was in the wind and rain, carrying the magical sedan chair and walking along the street to the ancestral temple.
