Taiwan Strait Network May 26 (Strait Guide reporter Lin Xiaoqi text/photo) Yesterday, in the Shipu Tzu Chi Palace in Xiangcheng District, Zhangzhou, amid the sound of gongs and drums, local believers danced dragons and lions on the street to open the road, welcoming about 60 believers from Taiwan to return to their hometowns to visit their ancestors.
Yesterday, Taiwan World Baosheng Great Emperor Temples United General Council Director Palace Taichung Dajia Ze'an Palace, Caotun Longsheng Palace and Hsinchu Zhen'an Palace jointly led the members and believers of these three director palaces, taking three gods from Taichung to Zhangzhou through Kinmen to Zhangzhou, and using the "small three links" to carry a cultural exchange trip back to the hometown to trace the origin and pay homage to ancestors. The first stop of the Zhangzhou itinerary is the Tzu Chi Palace in Zhangzhou.
, Vice President of the World Baosheng Emperor Temple Federation, Cai Qinshui, introduced that the itinerary started the day before yesterday, with a 5-day trip. The day before yesterday I went to Xiamen Fuqing Palace, Anduang Qingchen Palace, etc. Yesterday, in addition to the Sipu Tzu Chi Palace, I also went to other temples such as the Tzu Chi Ancestral Palace in Baijiao, Zhangzhou. This is their first time this year when they return to their hometown to visit their ancestors. In the future, they will organize believers in other palaces and temples to return to their hometowns to visit their ancestors. Through such activities, they will spread the spirit of Emperor Baosheng's compassion, increase the understanding of both sides of the Taiwan Strait's compatriots and learn from each other, thereby strengthening cross-strait cultural exchanges. "Next year, a large-scale return to the hometown and pay homage to the ancestors will be held, with about 2,000 believers participating in it. There will be a large-scale cultural exchange event every four years since the Tzu Chi Palace in Shipu, Zhangzhou held last year the "first Cross-Strait Baosheng Emperor Cultural Exchange Meeting" and the Taiwan World Baosheng Emperor Temple Joint Association sent a letter to return to the hometown and pay homage to the ancestors and give incense, reflecting the purpose of "going out and bringing in" and closely focusing on the concept of "one family on both sides of the strait". This event is a continuation exchange activity for the cross-strait cultural protection emperor, and the folk belief and cultural exchange tour is of great significance.
