On October 8, Li Yutian, a police officer from Dongcheng Police Station, Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, lost contact after bravely rescuing the person who fell into the water. His body was found four days later. Police number 035225, Li Yutian returned to the team. What he left to the world in the end was the back running towards the river.

Once in the army for five years, he used the police station as his home at around 15:40 on October 8, on the banks of the Jialing River near Rainbow Bridge in Cangxi County.

A woman fell into the water, and police officers from Cangxi County Public Security Bureau Li Yutian, Ou Hao and others ran towards the river. At 15:47, Li Yutian tried his best to push the girl falling from the river to the shore. The people on the shore held hands and formed a human rope to try to rescue him, and tried to throw the clothes to Li Yutian and pull him to the shore.

The incident occurred at a flood dam. It was the flood discharge period of the Tingzikou water conservancy hub. The water flow was fast and undercurrents were many, with a flow rate of 2,300 cubic meters per second and a water depth of more than 3 meters.

The moment he jumped into the river to save people, Li Yutian forgot that he could not swim. Zeng Jingkai, deputy director of Dongcheng Police Station in Cangxi County, said, "When he saw someone fall into the water, he thought nothing and jumped into the river all at once." Another police officer, Ou Hao, realized that he was overdrawn and tried his best to flow up the shore. He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

At 16:25 on October 8, Li Moumou, a woman who fell from the river, was salvaged ashore and had no vital signs. Police officer Li Yutian was still missing.

Li Yutian was born in 1989 and is 31 years old. He has been a soldier for five years and returned to his hometown in Cangxi after he was discharged from the army. He was an employee of in Guangyuan Wetland Park. He was later admitted to Cangxi County Public Security Bureau and became a policeman from Dongcheng Police Station of Cangxi County Public Security Bureau with police number 035225.

Many of his colleagues mentioned in media interviews that Li Yutian worked diligently, worked overtime often, ate and lived in the institute, and rarely went home. The standby room on the fourth floor is his "home" in the police station, with several upper and lower duty beds placed on the upper and lower floors, and Li Yutian's bed is placed on the lower floor.

The second day after Li Yutian lost contact, his family came to make the bed and took the sheets home to clean them. He said he wanted to wait for him to come back to have a good rest, "My son is back and sleeps well."

After the incident, Mr. Li learned from the police that after his daughter left the house that day, she walked alone to the bank of the Jialing River. Before falling into the river, she chatted with her classmates on her mobile phone for more than an hour. Mr. Li read the chat record and said, "That classmate has been urging my daughter, but what she said on her phone does not mean that she is going to commit suicide." There are rumors on the Internet that Li Moumou was the police rescue he called the police. In response, Mr. Li said that the matter needs to be clarified: "My daughter did not call the police, she was a classmate who reported it."

"This is not the first time he has saved someone on the Jialing River." Colleague Zeng Jingkai introduced that on March 27 this year, Li Yutian saved an old man who wanted to commit suicide.

It was very cold that day, and it was raining lightly. An old man had a thought of suicide because of a conflict with his family, and climbed up the three bridges of Jialing River to jump into the river. Li Yutian, who rushed there, did not bring a raincoat and stood in the rain in an unwaterproof uniform for 5 hours until the firefighters rescued the old man. At the Dongcheng Police Station, there was a bag of laundry detergent next to Li Yutian's desk. "He usually eats and lives in the office, and he has never used this laundry detergent after buying it." Zeng Jingkai introduced that Li Yutian's family lives in the city. Because of his busy work, he has not had a rest for 40 days in a row.
