1, content with the world is wide, and greedy for many people and the universe is narrow.
Desire has no end.
When the gate of desire is opened and constantly magnified, in order to satisfy their desires, people will become quite ambitious and full of wolfishness, and always want to do whatever they want, or even use any means to achieve their goals.
Many people in the world do not know that only by being content can one broaden one's mind and make one's life happier.
In the past few years, countless rich people have gone from nothing to do, and have been working hard to achieve their wealth growth. As a result, their business failed, they returned to a state of nothing, and even had a lot of debt.
If they only realized that in the past, they had fallen into such a situation due to their greed and endless desires, they would regret it.
Ordinary people live a stable and fulfilling life, and being at a loss is the best life for citizens.
He doesn't have to worry about his livelihood. He has enough money to deal with daily expenses, and can enjoy the fun of life in some cheap ways, and does not have to face all kinds of pressures to taste the pain of being in danger.
When a person is open to his heart, not caring about success or failure, not caring about the amount of wealth, he will feel that the entire universe becomes infinite in his heart, and he will suddenly become enlightened and jump out of various pressures.
Otherwise, he will only fall into the prison of desire and become a slave of desire, and will not be liberated for life.
2. The way of human beings is to lose enough and give more than enough. The way of heaven can reduce the excess and make up for the deficiency.
These two sentences are very philosophical.
The first sentence means: People in the world have a tendency to curry favor with and flatter rich people, but they regard the poor and have little money as cold-eyed and even bullied them.
The second sentence means: God seems to make such an arrangement so that those who are too rich will eventually lose money and bear some bad luck, while those who have no resources or wealth will be compensated by God and allow them to obtain other things.
I think these two sentences are very correct.
Looking at the various aspects of the world, we find that human nature is real. They just like to flatter and flatter the rich. Even if these rich people have no moral standards, they even get wealth, which is improper. There are still many people who want to get benefits from them, so as to flatter them and flatter them.
And those poor people have no benefits to others, even if ordinary people think that these poor people are worthy of pity, no one is willing to help them, or date them, and become friends. Instead, they oppress them, trying to make them poorer, or despise them.
However, God seems to have arranged an invisible hand to make the world legal, civilized and moral constraints, so that these dark human natures can be controlled and restricted.
From ancient times to the present, we have all kinds of benevolence, righteousness, ethics and education ideas, which make us be kind and generous and help the weak, so that the jungle law in the animal world will not appear in the world, so that the glory of nature will be amplified, and those who bully the weak will be despised.
So, even if we are from a humble background, or have certain flaws, and the inferiority of some gentlemen, don’t be inferior, because you have to believe that the way of heaven will reduce the excess and make up for the shortcomings.
Your shortcomings will be seen by God because of your efforts, thus making up for you.
3. Heaven and earth have great beauty without saying it. A saint is the original beauty of heaven and earth to understand the principles of all things.
This famous quote comes from "Zhuangzi".
What Zhuangzi said here is that nature has its true mystery and charm, but it is unknown and never deliberately expresses it.As a saint, what you need to do is not to deliberately change nature, but to preserve the mystery and charm of nature and figure out all its rules.
In this sentence, Zhuangzi has actually revealed the idea of materialism . He believes that objective things cannot be changed and have their mystery. What a saint, as a thoughtful person, needs to do is to explore its laws, rather than think about changing it.
From this point, Zhuangzi had realized so many years ago that objective things are actually something that human power cannot change, and what people need to do is to figure out its rules.
In reality, many people want to deliberately change everything around us.
There are even some pretentious and self-reliant people who think they are very powerful, who think that they have the ability to defy fate, so that everything they face will have to change because of their strength, and thus develop in the direction they want to achieve.
However, such a so-called strong man will eventually be hit by reality. They will slowly discover that many things in nature and the world cannot be changed at all.
What people can do is to recognize the direction in which things will develop, and to do their best to make adjustments based on this direction of development, so that things can progress in that direction according to their own wishes.
In one sentence, do your best to follow the will of heaven.
Everything in nature is unchangeable.
The only thing a saint can do is to adapt to everything in nature, and then maximize his subjective initiative, thereby creating the so-called miracle.
The beauty of the original world means following the destiny of heaven. To understand the principle of all things, it is to understand as much as possible what all things in the world are, and what their development laws are, so that after understanding them, let these things develop in their own direction.
But in reality, some things are subjective initiative of people and cannot be changed. Under such a situation, the only thing people can do is to follow the will of heaven.
4. Those who achieve great things will not be subject to small defeats.
If we study history, we will find that in ancient history, there are many people who have achieved the final success, and they have experienced countless failures in the process of fighting against their opponents.
The most classic one is Liu Bang .
He is about twenty years older than Xiang Yu , but he has never beaten Xiang Yu in the process of fighting with Xiang Yu.
There were even several times when he was killed by Xiang Yu and he was exhausted from ammunition and food. He had to die at any time and faced the fate of his whole family being killed at any time.
However, Liu Bang withstood the pressure of dying and survived. In the final battle, he united several coalition forces that were confronting Xiang Yu, and most of the leaders of these coalition forces were Xiang Yu's past generals.
A coalition army defeated Xiang Yu at Gaixia, leaving only one man and one horse left Xiang Yu, returning to Jiangdong without a face, and eventually committing suicide.
Liu Bang can be said to have one defeat and one victory.
After fighting so many defeats, I never saw hope of victory, but in the last battle, Xiang Yu was able to defeat him in one fell swoop.
If Liu Bang could not bear the failure in his first fight with Xiang Yu, and eventually disbanded his army, or if he was anxious and could not survive in failure, then the one who ruled the king was Xiang Yu, and Liu Bang absolutely had no good life, so he could only hide and live in panic all day long.
From Liu Bang's life, we can see how important it is to be able to withstand the frustration brought by failure, stand up, and fight persistently.
If you want to achieve a real big career and have a truly grand dream, you must not take some small failures and setbacks seriously in front of you. You must remember this sentence: Those who achieve great things will not be subject to small failures.
