30 years ago, at the beginning of the construction of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone, many factories moved here. There are many self-built houses nearby, and a large number of migrant workers gather, and pedestrians are everywhere at night. For the locals living nearby, this place also carries the memories of many people in Laohuli.
Huli District Pedestrian Street mainly consists of three roads: Huli Street, Fenghu Street and Zhukeng Road. Among them, Huli Street and Fenghu Street are mainly small shops, with most clothes and shoe stores. Last month, when Xiamen Bus Station was edited, Xiaoyujun and his colleagues went to Tong'an Bus Station and passed through Tong'an Shunhong Modern City. It was daytime, and the streets outside Shunhong Modern City were clean. If you want to say that the biggest difference is from the commercial center on the island, it is probably that most of the parking lots here are electric vehicles.
It was not until recently that Xiaoyujun realized that the day and night here were completely different. According to Yuyou @TursGy, there are dozens of stalls in the pedestrian street store outside the shopping mall, which are so cheap that they are robbing at least half of the traffic that opens here at night.

If you want to trace the origin and talk about the night markets in Zhongshan Road, the people and roads connecting eight cities and ferries will definitely be on the list. As the first Taiwanese snack street located in mainland China, this 208-meter-long snack street is the earliest street stall street in Xiamen.
Xiaoyujun, who had not worked in Xiamen a few years ago, once visited this street during the holidays.At that time, in addition to the small shops along the road, there were 48 stalls lined up in the middle, leaving only two people walking side by side through the narrow aisle.
At that time, the Taiwan food street gathered delicious snacks from three major night markets, including the most famous Taipei Shilin Tourist Night Market, Taichung Fengjia Night Market, and Kaohsiung Liuhe Night Market. Of course, in addition to the Taiwan food streets on Renhe Road, there are many food streets in Zhongshan Road. They may not be pure night markets, but they are also the main places for nightlife for residents and tourists in this area. Especially late at night, there will be many vendors on Zhongshan Road.
If Zhongshan Road is always the one who takes photos, then Taiping Road is probably the one who is always in line here. If there are too many people on weekends, every stall needs to queue up to eat, and basically, it will run into the opposite line as it queules, because almost every store here has to queue up.
If you want to have a "market" midnight snack after walking on Zhongshan Road very late and want to have a "market" flavor, then Taiping Road is a pretty good choice.
Rather than saying that Zhongshan Road and Taiping Road belong to tourists and New Xiamen people, then Datong Road is a night market for old Xiamen people. There are not only a wide range of goods on Datong Road, but also entertainment venues.

List Longtou Road in Gulangyu as a member of Xiamen Night Market, and many people may have objections. But Longtou Road is indeed a food concentration on Gulangyu, from fruit stalls, juice and milk refreshments, ice cream and yogurt desserts to coffee and Western food, there is only one you can't imagine, and nothing you can't eat!
Longtou Road, starting from Zhonghua Road in the northwest, Fujian Road and Lujiao Road in the southeast, is 2275 meters long and 7 meters wide. It is the most important commercial street on Gulangyu Island.
As the most important commercial street on Gulangyu Island, there are a wide range of shops on Longtou Road, and the largest part is the wide variety of snack shops. The several night markets listed above are still there, and some are still some night markets although they have been transformed, but they still have some shadows of night markets. However, when it comes to the Bee Cangshan Night Market, the feeling of the night market may be gone except for the road name and the roadside storefronts.
In the 1980s, a night market was founded on the basis of the seafood morning market in Fengchaoshan Road. It was located in the settlement of the people. Most of the stall owners were laid-off workers, farmers entering the city, etc. From Siming South Road, you can reach Shapowei and Xiamen University via Fengchaoshan Road. It is a short road, less than 300 meters.
On the night before, when there was no rain before, around 7 o'clock, the empty streets of Fengchao Mountain Road began to "combust". Various small stalls are spread out like a long dragon, and there are almost everything from clothes, shoes, hats, luggage, small electronic products, DVDs, daily necessities, fruits, etc. The lights illuminate the streets like daytime. Speaking of Xiamen University, many people may think of Xiamen University Student Street. Before the "Xiada Street" was renovated, it was really long. The road on the left side of the south gate extended to the current Xiada West Village bus stop. One row is the store and the other row is the stall.
McDonald's is located at the dividing point of this section of the road and is also a good place for students to enjoy the cool air at noon. The first impression of Xiaofeng Bookstore is also on this street. (Now Xiaofeng Bookstore moved to University Road)

When Xiaoyujun was just in college in Fuzhou, many friends who were studying in Xiamen often said, "You come to Xiamen, let's go to Ding'an Night Market..."But when I really went to Ding'an Night Market, Xiaoyujun's first feeling was that this is not like a night market?
As the originator of Xiamen Night Market, Ding'an carries the memories of a generation. Walk up from Zhongshan Road and the corner is Ding'an Road. From the rise of Ding'an Night Market in the 1980s to the peak in 2006: it has nearly 300 stalls, 80 of which are mobile stalls. It has become the most famous small commodity distribution center and the largest open-air night market in Xiamen.
However, Ding'an Road Night Market was closed on July 10, 2007 and is planned to be a traffic and fire evacuation passage. Most of the fixed stalls were moved to the first floor shopping mall in Ding'an Square, which is only 100 meters away. Now when I go to Ding'an Night Market, it is actually more like a shopping mall. The scene of the night market in the past no longer exists.
