China Economic Network reported on June 2: According to Taiwan's "China Times News Network", in response to the Tsai Ing-wen authorities' announcement that it will gradually announce the relaxation of border control policies starting this month, Kinmen County Mayor Yang Zhenzhen also called on the Tsai authorities to treat the "small three links" that have been closed for more than two years and achieve the overall assessment of the feasibility of conditional opening.
Yang Zhenzhen said that the issue of resumption of flights of "small three links" should return to the level of epidemic prevention considerations. If the Tsai administration's general policy on border control is to move towards loosening, it should be treated equally and take the Tsai administration's considerations as a framework to comprehensively evaluate the feasibility of conditional opening of "small three links".
Yang Zhenzhen said that the Kinmen County Government has always adopted a steady approach to restarting the "small three links". In accordance with the established plan and in line with the development of the epidemic, it continues to strive for relevant units on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The original plan for resumption of the three-stage plan for "before humanity", "against fellow villagers" and "universal exchanges" has remained unchanged.
Yang Zhenzhen said that it is the plateau period of the epidemic on the island, and the chances of "small three links" resuming flights are not high, but we need to pay close attention to see if the epidemic will go down as expected in the next one or two months. If it is still at its peak, it is not in line with reality to strive for border relaxation and restart "small three links".
Yang Zhenzhen emphasized that the county government still needs to prepare for the "small three-way" resumption of flights, and must not wait for all conditions to be prepared before planning operations. This is just like the Tsai administration wants to relax border controls, and it is also the same as measuring the development of the epidemic, and all need to be deployed and planned in advance.
