■ 13 months to awaken the "urban green kidney"
Yangpi Lake, which had been silent for a long time, suddenly gathered many attention and expectant eyes, and it will start from three years ago.
In 2018, the district party committee and government, based on many careful demonstrations and scientific planning, proposed to restore the ecological environment of Yangpi Lake and build it into an ecologically natural and unique urban cultural wetland.
According to research, Yangpi Lake was first formed in the Neolithic period. However, for a long time, the original ecological environment and agricultural production of Yangpi Lake have been polluted and damaged, the water quality has deteriorated greatly, and the wetland ecosystem has been seriously threatened. On September 16, 2019, the first phase of the Yangpi Lake ecological restoration project that everyone hoped for began construction. The plan is to retain the current basic farmland, use the current fish pond to restore the thousand-year-old Yangpi Lake lake view, and at the same time combine with the Rice Research Institute to strengthen the rice cultivation culture to achieve ecological restoration and management in the region. The ecological space of "one lake and seven gardens" of Yuqu Garden, Daoxiang Garden, Hefeng Garden, Huaman Garden, Jianjia Garden, Qinglian Garden, and Yilinghua is presented for the first time.
From the public's voice to the implementation of the project, the project construction team almost gave up all rest time, shortening the construction period by 30% compared with the original plan, and opening it to the public in advance.
