According to the announcement of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan plans to purchase 120 million doses of vaccines from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in the United States this year, and the two parties have signed a contract. In addition, Japan will purchase 18 million doses of vaccines from Moderna in the first quarter of this year, and also signed a contract with the company to provide 75 million doses of vaccines in the first half of the year.

Goto Shigeyuki said in a reporter on the 14th that in order to speed up the promotion of enhanced vaccination, Japan decided to order another 10 million doses of vaccine from Pfizer, which is planned to arrive next month. It is estimated that Japan will be able to purchase 46 million doses of Pfizer vaccine in the first quarter of this year, including 12 million doses of vaccines for children aged 5-11 and 34 million doses of ordinary vaccines.

Japan's enhanced injection vaccination rate is 9.4%
