According to Thai media reports on June 27, Thai commercial airlines have obtained approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China to allow the resumption of two weekly commercial flights to China, which is the first time that commercial flights have been approved since the epidemic.
Deputy Government spokesman Traisuree Taisaranakul confirmed the news yesterday (June 26), Ms. Traisuree said that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has approved Thai Airlines' commercial flight request, which is a good sign of relaxing travel restrictions.
It is understood that the currently open routes are Bangkok to Guangzhou, Bangkok to Kunming and Bangkok to Nanning , with two flights per week. The route to Guangzhou is carried out by four airlines, Thai Airways, Thai Smile Airways, Thai Lion Air and Thai Asia, while the route to Kunming is operated by Yuejie VJ Airlines (Thai VietJet), and the route to Nanning is operated by Nok Air.
The current route mainly targets the international student group, business people or people who need to go abroad for other reasons. Around August, at the latest, more cities in addition to Beijing and Shanghai will be reopened. Ms. Prayuth also said that Prime Minister Prayuth is happy that the Civil Aviation Administration of China resumes commercial flights between China and Thailand, and Thailand is ready to welcome the return of Chinese tourists at any time.
I hope that commercial flights between China and Thailand will resume normal as soon as possible.
