China News Service, Taipei, August 5th. The latest survey by Taiwan’s labor authorities shows that some workers in Taiwan’s working hours agreed to an average salary of RMB 169 per hour (NT$, the same below).
Some working hours workers usually refer to workers whose working hours are significantly shorter than the full-time working hours of the public institution. According to information from the administrative department of the Taiwan authorities, in May 2018, there were 423,000 working hours employed in Taiwan, accounting for 3.7% of the total employed.
This survey shows that some working hours workers mainly pay the hourly wage system, accounting for 77.8%, followed by the monthly salary system, daily salary system and piece-based compensation. The hourly wage system stipulates that the average salary will increase from 160 yuan last year to 169 yuan per hour. According to the Central News Agency, the authorities' labor authorities said that the main reason was that the basic salary increase was increased at the beginning of the year. Teachers (including substitute classes and talented teachers) ranked the highest at an hourly rate of 304 yuan, followed by an accountant of 177 yuan per hour and a technician of 176 yuan per hour.
