The Temple of the Empress, the Hall of the Holy Ancestor and the Brick Pagoda of the Jin Dynasty are unique among all Guandi temples in the world and can be called the "Three Uniques".
This temple was originally the former residence of Guan Yu, who lived here from his birth until he fled to escape disaster. After his death, the local people and his descendants built an ancestral hall here to commemorate Guan Yu and his ancestors for three generations as a place to worship him. Therefore, it is the earliest ancestral hall to commemorate Guan Yu today, and it is also the earliest origin of Guan Gong culture in the world. It has been more than 1,800 years ago.
