Wei Chi is located in Zhangjiashe, halfway up the hillside of Tonglu Heling Village, about 4 hours' drive from Shanghai and about 4 hours from Hangzhou. It takes 1.5 hours and the transportation is quite convenient. It is located halfway up the mountain, with the Fuchun River flowing through it. It is said that the famous "Fuchun Mountains Picture" was taken and painted here. Heling Village is a village with the most beautiful night view in China. Unfortunately, it rained heavily that day and we were unable to go up the mountain to overlook the panoramic view of Heling Village.

The mountain road leading to Wei Chi winds, passing through bamboo forest streams, mountain col villages and a beautiful reservoir, until a few scattered plain white houses appear between the sky and the earth. There is no complicated external form, just a few square and regular cubes. When you get closer, you will find that the exterior facade is inlaid with glass bricks, allowing sunlight to filter in. The light and shadow on the ground will tell you the changes in time during the day. At night, the interior lights make the glass bricks look like stars. The simple appearance contains rich internal linear space.
Weichi has a total of 5 buildings with 12 rooms, which were renovated from the old houses of local villagers. Among them, the three buildings of "Yun", "Mountain" and "Shi" are guest rooms, a cafe "Wood" and a hot spring building. The room is "water", like a small resort with complete functions.
Although every room has a bathtub or swimming pool, the designer dedicated a separate building to make the infinity pool and private swimming pool. "Water" has a large pool that can accommodate about 10 people for bathing, and there are also three private baths designed for couples or families. The design concept of the hot spring is to hope that guests can be naked in the long scrolls of mountains and rivers and integrate into nature in the most direct way. It's a pity that it was not open during the season when I went there. I wonder if it is only open in winter.

The coffee shop "Wood" was converted from a woodshed, just on the hillside behind the swimming pool. The all-wood structure is a traditional bracket structure, and the floor-to-ceiling glass that occupies the entire wall reveals a huge landscape scroll. In addition to hand brewing, the coffee shop is also equipped with brushes and drawing boards, specially designed to respond to the urge to paint when customers face thousands of mountains and rivers.

html Building 01 "Cloud" is located at the corner of the mountainside. It is the best place to see the clouds. The exterior is still "Weichi style", and a courtyard is used inside the building to organize the space and pattern. The sunken courtyard on the second floor is in the center of the house, providing sunlight to the living room on the first floor and a good view to the dining room on the second floor. html Building No. 03 "Stone" was transformed from a pigsty, so the cornerstone of the pigsty is still retained at the bottom of the house. There are two independent guest rooms, upper and lower, each with a generous space of 50 square meters. It happened that my aunt was cleaning a room upstairs, and I was lucky enough to take a look. It was said that it was also the room that the boss loved to stay in when he came. Entering the room, I was immediately shocked by the unobstructed view and instantly regretted not booking this room. The "viewing frame" is a slope roof paved with green tiles. Traditional outdoor elements are introduced indoors, and the indoor and outdoor scenes can be freely switched. We live in Building 2 "Mountain". The beauty of "Mountain" is that three public spaces: living room, courtyard, and rooftop are distributed on each floor. In the living room on the first floor, you can talk to strangers, in the courtyard on the second floor, you can talk to static nature, and on the rooftop on the third floor Facing the view of thousands of mountains, you can have a dialogue with your heart. There are some huge stones scattered in a corner of the living room. I was a little confused at first. After asking the housekeeper, I found out that these were stones dug out when digging the foundation. I chose the roundest and most beautiful ones to keep. I instantly felt the kindness of the designer. Be careful.

The entire floor-to-ceiling window wall on the first floor brings in all the light. The fireplace in the middle effectively blocks the entertainment function living room and dining room, and there are Japanese-style light wood furniture. The decor and the welcoming open kitchen made me feel like I was at home. When I was sitting at the corner of the dining table working, my aunt and the housekeeper were developing "pineapple rice" and asked me if I wanted to try it. I can’t remember the taste of the pineapple rice, I just remember their smile and hospitality that made you completely let down your guard. The beautiful "shell" of a B&B is only a small part, the key is how to pack thoughtful services into it.

The No. 2 double bed room in the "Mountain" we stayed in had to go through the stone steps of the second-floor outdoor courtyard. It was only a few steps away, but the housekeeper still thoughtfully prepared an umbrella for us. The room uses a convenient and efficient password lock, which is rare in B&Bs.
The first thing you see when you open the door is the wide-width glass from top to bottom, which takes in the whole world. The best viewing angle is lying on the bed. The room that can be completely divided into two floors only has one large flat floor, which is transparent and bright, with a huge circular bathtub in the middle of the room. The white walls are decorated with wood-colored furniture, which is warm and cozy. The toilet does not have a separate compartment, but there is no smell.

The two houses are equipped with independent kitchens, so it is also suitable for families to rent a house. Generally, the meal price of a B&B is between 100-120 per person, but no later than 200 per person. When we asked not to have dinner, the housekeeper very thoughtfully introduced a farmhouse down the mountain. The breakfast was also very rich. When we asked for omelettes, my aunt enthusiastically gave us two.

The 12 guest rooms are 12 ways of looking at the mountains, just because the boss said, "I hope to create the best view for every room." The lighting and views of the 12 guest rooms are the most prominent highlights. Many public areas are covered with glass like wide-angle mirrors. No matter which angle you look out from, you feel like it encompasses the entire mountain. Many rooms, even on two or three sides, have views.

I stood on the terrace in the early morning after the rain, surrounded by clouds and mist. When the weather improves and the clouds and mists slowly disperse, the distant mountain peaks, reservoirs embedded in the valleys, and local homes gradually become clear. The owner said: "Everyone thinks that the image of Wei Chi is very good, and it fits our situation very well. There is a feeling of delayed spring, like the slow and long years." For me, the image of "Wei Chi" lies in the beauty of everything in the world. Coming and going have their own time, and it is never too late to observe and realize the beautiful scenery and dreams.
