The name Tesla Model III doesn't quite ring as loudly as the Model E - for obvious reasons - but it's the name Elon Musk gave Tesla's entry-level sedan. Oh, and Tesla Roadster owners will also be able to enjoy the battery upgrade soon.

In an interview with AutoExpress, Musk reconfirmed what we've already learned about his third-generation sedan, including at least 200 miles of range, a price of around $35,000, and, of course, the ability to use it Tesla’s growing network of Superchargers. Tesla also confirmed the name Model 3.

Musk also revealed that he plans to upgrade the battery pack used in sports cars in the future.

"The batteries used in the Roadster are too old," Musk told AE. "We will upgrade it to a new generation battery pack, which will give you a range of about 400 miles. This will allow you to drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco without any stress at all."
