According to Cambodian media, at 10:20 pm on August 16, a shooting occurred in a beer garden in Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh City. Two robbers and the police had a shootout in the street.
It is reported that at 8 o'clock that night, two suspects rode a motorcycle to the Russian Avenue section of Detara Subdistrict, Sen Sok District, and stole a white motorcycle.
After being informed, the Sen Sok District Police checked the surveillance and found that the two suspects were drinking in a beer garden 2 hours after the incident, so they jointly went to the local police to investigate immediately.
As soon as the local police arrived at the scene, they were discovered by two suspects. Subsequently, the two tried to escape, but were intercepted. Unexpectedly, the suspect fired two shots at the police, then abandoned the car and ran away.
At present, the local police have brought the motorcycle, bullet casings and other physical evidence back to the police station to prepare for further investigation.
